Certainly not as locked in as the Braves have been since the All-Star break, obviously. They've been unbeatable.

96 mph pretty good on the 3rd day, but control is not the best, just like all year.

One time Heyward. Swing the bat at the fastball down the middle and see if that helps...

Cordero actually didn't look half bad today. I'm sort of upset that chopper up the middle went for a double, but that is not on him whatsoever.

Big win to take the series by the Reds, but it doesn't look like a day they'll get back in first as the Cardinals have broken it open with 5 in the 5th!

Good series. Pretty well played except for Melky yesterday and Heywards inexplicable dive today. The Reds are certainly a team to be reckoned with in October once Harang regains his Ace status.

Highest three game attendance in GABP history. Impressive.
Did anyone see the attendance number today? I know yesterday was 41k+, and I think Friday was the same.

I think it was around 125k for the weekend if I heard right.
The only other series to be over 120k was the Yankees in 2003. That series outdrew this weekend.

Bullpen allows no runs in regulation innings for this series. Yesterday it looked like the Reds defense had given away the series early, then the Braves defense facilitated the Reds winning the last two games and taking the series!

How did the Braves D facilitate the Saturday win for the Reds? Only the 5th run was a result of their D but Heyward also threw out Cabrera at the plate.

That 5th run is exactly why I used the word facilitate. Three runs is much bigger than two, especially with Cordero's unsteadiness! And I meant to say the Braves defense late facilitated the Reds win yesterday.

I'm heading to Pittsburgh tomorrow afternoon to take in the series there with my daughter. Really looking forward to to seeing Wood and Leake pitch! Hopefully the Reds can get into the Pirates bullpen(with the replacements for their sold off relievers) early and get a chance to see Springer, Ondrusek, Smith, and Bray. Fisher is a casualty of inactivity, just like Owings. It is astute to send down an inactive who probably won't be sharp for someone who is. Hopefully the Reds will stay in it with who they have until Sept 1st when they can expand the roster with Isringhausen, Burton, Chapman, Maloney, Daniel Ray, Owings, Fisher, Homer, Harange, Rosario, LeCure, etc, along with Corky, Dickerson, Francisco, Sutton, Alonso. The question would be who goes off the 40 man roster with Isringhausen and Corky going on?
