Playing with 70s is frustrating. Overthrown balls. Dropped passes. No protection. This is Fresno State football.

Southern Miss evens their record at 1-1 with a victory in their home opener, 35-28 over Middle Tennessee State. Aaron Young threw for 412 yards and 4 TD's as the Eagles raced out to a 28-7 halftime lead and hung on for the victory.

Coach Darby: "it feels great to get in the win column. I thought we played very well offensively for most of the game, the latter parts of the 2nd half concern me a little bit. They started to hit some plays and put a few drives together and got back in the game, but we dug down deep and found something inside ourselves and found the ability to pull it out."

How close are we to advancing? I can't wait to see which way my team sucks this week. The option is no longer a usable play for Fresno St as they can't grasp the concept of the pitch. No matter what the separation is the ball is going to end up 3 yards behind the back and hopefully out of bounds.

Toledo gets another win..moving to 2-0 after he started last year about 0-8. Things may change this week as the defending champs come to the Glass Bowl. Week has advanced. The other user game will be a rematch between MTSU and Utah. Last year the game went to about 5 OTs before Utah prevailed. This year the game will be in somewhere in Middle Tennessee. Hopefully the Utes can find the campus.

a bye week for Southern Miss allows the coaching staff to go back to fundamentals before a Wk 4 road game @ Rice...

I should be fired in a week or two. The kids refuse to function. QB has 90 speed but the quickness of snot. My favorite though is some lame ass RS frosh WR, hes 97 speed with 70 acceleration and his catch must be 60 because he drops more passes than he catches and already has given the defense three INTs by bobbling balls and it falling in the DBs lap.

Good news....QB and RB successfully completed not 1 but 2 option pitches this week. Things are looking up at fucking Fresno State

Southern Miss picks up a 42-21 home victory over Rice. The Owls fall to 0-4 while the Eagles improve to 2-1 in the young season. Deandre Brown had 3 kickoff returns for touchdowns to pace the Eagles, and 317 Kick Return yards total on the day.

"It felt good to get this win," said Coach Darby. "Our kids came out focused and disciplined and made plays when we needed to. I was worried about the pace of their offense and our defense tiring out there, but we held up pretty well and came out with a win."

The Eagles play host to ECU next week.

I think the new game tuning took an effect last night... for the 1st time since I've played on Heisman an 0-3 team really seemed like an 0-3 team

Live Tuning Pack 4
http://ncaafootball.easports.com/blog.action

This update contains a small change for In Season Progression as the last tuner pack didn't have the impact we expected for everyone. Basically some Dynasties were not seeing the amount of progression we would of liked, this should be resolved with LTP4.

What is In Season Progression?

- During the season some of your players on your team will get small gains to some of their ratings
- Will show in Edit Roster Screen in the form of +1 (or another number) next to a player rating
- Will NOT affect every player, only some will Progress
- On average only a few players per team will see a +1 in Overall (OVR) gain over the course of a full season
- Will work when Siming, you do not need to play every game for it to occur
- Will change other attributes per position other than OVR, for example Awareness (AWR) is a rating that normally sees a jump

You can check out the details of how the ratings of your players will play out in our Blog about LTP3. And as always please continue to provide feedback and thoughts on our forums.

Thanks again for your support and be sure to let us know what you think about the Live Tuning Packs!

I think things are moving in the right direction... off to a 2-1 start with the only loss coming to Ole Miss and their beast of a running back.... got ECU next week with a chance to move to 3-1

We are on to week 5. We have 1 spot open, and possibly more to come if some people don't start playing. Not you, Tiger, you are excused from this. The boot hammer will be out in full force soon. You have been warned.
