Congrats to Mooney for ramming it down the throats of the Big Red, literally. That ought to shut 'em up.

And yet you're still talking.

Big man to need some other team to do your dirty work for you.

Big Red will be just fine. Region 11 champs, state semi-final appearance. Not too shabby.

I'm not one to gloat, but I just like to imagine the jaws of the few no-class Big Red huddlers on the floor as Heard ran for over 300 yards.

Ya know what, Mooney44cards, I've kept pretty quiet this week and let the Big Red fans do all the "talking", but right now I'm really enjoying a little bit of "gloating".

GREAT GAME, CARDS!

Steubenville suffered a good old fashioned butt kicking. The final score and dominance of Mooney wasn't really a surprise to me. The Cards are that good.

Congratulations to the Cardinal Nation and best wishes next week!

I've listened to smack all week from some of the Big Red fans and I'd love to return the favor but I won't stoop that low. To the Big Red, congratulations on a great season and I'm sure we'll meet in years to come. To the Cards, enjoy this victory tonight and then it's time to prepare for DeSales, practice hard and injury free and Seniors ring the bell a final time next weekend. Tank, good job of stopping Mr. Heard tonight. GO CARDS

You were right, it wasn't 35-7!

They should've put in the cheerleaders and band against Mooney like they joked about last week--the game may have been closer!

Big Red lost to the better team. Their O-line and RB are amazing. I don't see any issue with Mooney winning the D3 crown easily next weekend.

Oh kiss it big guy. All I did was come on this thread and predict a Mooney victory because I thought that's what would happen. That's literally all I said, Mooney 35, Big Red 13. Looks like it was even uglier, but after saying that I got DESTROYED. You guys brought up Salem and started picking on them, said I had no credibility because your team knocked mine out, I should be rooting for Big Red because they beat my team. Blah, blah, blah. All I did was make an objective opinion and you all tried to rip me a new one for it. Looks like you're all standing as you type because Mooney did the ripping.

Braylon Heard who? You guys were right, he really isn't that good.

hats off to that offensive line. Steuby knew what was coming and that line still just manhandled them.
They must not be as fat and out of shape as Steuby suspected--someone had posted last week that BR would be playing Wyoming next week--I'm rooting for BR in the consolation game.RRR

Well I'll give you credit for stepping up and saying that after saying Mooney would have to throw the ball because Heard wouldn't be a factor and their line was out of shape all week.

And you're right, that's what happened. Exactly what I said when Salem lost--lost to a better team. But next time, don't shoot the messenger. Any sane outsider saw this coming--maybe not to this extent but everyone knew Mooney was better. If they're totally healthy they're the best team in the state...D1, D2, D56735, whatever.

Yeah, right!

Kelleys Island owns D56735. Mooney wouldn't stand a chance.

Reno should be ashamed -- he ignores special teams all year because of the soft, 7-game home schedule he insists upon, and it comes back to bite him in the ass.

This was a complete beatdown.

Congrats to a truly great team, great school, and great coaching staff . . . the Cardinal Mooney Cardinals!!!

(Poland -- how in God's name did you lose to these guys?)

Special teams and the schedule had nothing to do with the result. I also disagree about this year's schedule being soft.

thanks FatMatt, I read the recap of the game in another thread and agree it sounds like the kicking game of BR was pathetic. Kind of hard to expect your defense to shut down an offense when they start on your side of the 50 most of the game. I think I could punt one 20 yards. GO CARDS

SQ_Crazies, thanks for your support of the Cards in the playoffs. I for one applaud you for your sticking up for your opinion on the games. Big_Red_ Drummer if you look at the posts earlier in the week Mooney didn't stand a chance against the Big Red. Someone was wrong...................... GO CARDS.

Their special teams haven't been good all year and their defense has still been able to stop people. There is absolutely no excuse for Big Red and they shouldn't have to make one--not the team anyways, it's the fans on the Huddle that made them look stupid and classless--they just played a better team. Which, like I said, most people outside of Steubenville knew prior to this game ever being played.

Thanks cmhs. If it would have been the other way around I would have came back and taken my beating too.
