I'm not old enough to like PBR, so I'll go with Busch Lite.

Yeah, I remember that name....it may have been where the antique mall is now.

I've been told by an employee of Budweiser that Natty is actually a "premium" product, but the marketing for it was fucked up in the beginning, so they now run with it as a lesser-quality type beer...not sure if I believe them or not

I had some terrible beers last night.
Stone Levitation Ale- Turrable
Some canned German named light beer that was the lightest and maybe worst beer I've ever had.
But also some good ones.
St. Bernardus Pater 6 was excellent: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/259/1856 <<< They agree.
Strongbow is always tasty
And Killian's is pretty good too.

Has anyone heard of Burger Beer brewed in Cincinnati? I saw some at the store the other day, and it was pretty inexpensive. Is it new? I had just never seen it before.

Burger was an old brand brewed in Cincinnati for many years (I can remember their ads on the Red radio and TV ads in the late 1960's). It disappeared in the late 70's or so. The Christian Morelien Brewing Company bought the rights to the name several years ago, and re-launched Burger (and also Hudepohl) last year.
Haven't tasted it yet - the original wasn't very good (at least to a 13-year-old sneaking a couple of bottles out of Dad's beer refrigerator.

Well, at 13 there wasn't much that tasted good other than Hershey's or sweet tarts.
Funny you remember the "Cooks" crap, man was it bad...$22.50 question...What was on the label?

My Ranking:
1) Session Black Label (Not as cheap as PBR, but comparable in price to Bud Light/Miller Light, and much cheaper than what I usually drink)
2) PBR- The standard cheap beer here in Portland
3) Miller Hi Life- It's drinkable, and lately a lot of bars have been having crazy cheap happy hours featuring it ($1 Pitchers is my favorite)
4) Coors
5) Olympia

You're in a higher tax bracket than I am if you're considering 9 bucks per 6pack "cheap beer". As stated earlier, I can get 30 of real cheap beer for a buck more.Curly J;426941 wrote:^^^This. It's Sam Adams or Leinenkugel when it comes to cheap beer for me.
