Halladay throws 7 pitches and gets three outs in three batters in the first. Cabrera's infield hit wiped out by Votto's double play ball to SS.

Reds bat five in the 4th, but leave two on. The only two hits in the game so far were had by tired legged Cabrera.

Stubbs grounded into a 5-4-3 DP to take the Reds out of the inning that started promisingly with an infield hit by Cairo. Is seems like stubbs on his two infield grounders tonight wasn't running as hard as he did earlier in the season. Maybe some other team members loafing habits are rubbing off on him. Both those plays should have been closer than they were. Seems like the only Red that goes all out all the time is Gomes. He beat out a hit last night on what appeared to be a routine grounder to 2B.

Five perfect innings by Wood on 61 pitches. Halladay has throw 58, giving up 3 hits and a walk, but no runs.

I don't understand the purpose of bunting in that situation. The bottom part of the order is up, now is not the time to donate outs. Dustyball=making the worst possible decision at all times.

Lol what? That was the absolute perfect time for a sacrifice with the pitcher due up 3rd (after the double). Sacrifice him over, trust your 8th hitter to hit the ball in the outfield. If not, maybe catch a break with the pitcher getting a hit.

It's better than asking your 7th 8th and pitcher to get a single that will score slow ass Cairo from second.
