I can guarantee that NSP cares. They will prepare for this game the same as they do every game. They do not take any opponent lightly. I cannot wait for next Saturday!

Looking at the video highlights, it looks like Malvern played an awfull game....fumbles, picks, throwing into quad coverage etc. Perhaps that play was forced by GCC, but it is hard to judge based on the video. GCC's passing didn't look especially crisp. NSP will pick those all night. Looks like they have some size on the line but it was the little guy that was putting in the big licks. Hard to judge the kicking game looks like he was short on a FG with the ball on the 15 yard line. I predict NSP by ten pts.

Opps, my bad. Don't know what I was thinking. My pick this year for D6 was Ada. I thought this was their year to get past DSJ. At least they made a good showing and took it to OT. Some have said DSJ got a gift of a no call on the game tying drive in the fourth. Nobody good enough to stop them now IMO.....As far as credibility, I posted all my picks before the playoffs, where's yours?
Those people also likely didn't mention the terrible roughing the punter that lead to Ada's TD in the 3rd and a phantom holding that cost DSJ a TD. The calls went both ways.

I did like how that number 2 (or 5? cant remember) played. Like I mentioned earlier this GCC looked like a very emotional team, that can hurt you a lot. Kids play mental games with themselves or start committing cheap penalties. I can see that coming to bite these kids in the butt.

GCC seems like a mystery to many people based on many factors:

1) Rather New Program with no playoff history.
2) Played in easily the weakest Region of the Four.

The St. Paul Flyers are one win from the 2009 State Championship game!! They need OUR help Saturday to get there! Let's all find our black gear, put it on and become the team's 12th man in the stands in Ashland this weekend. Once again, the Flyer Nation needs to show everyone from Grove City, Monroeville, Western and any other communities we have the BEST team, the BEST coaches, the BEST band and the BEST FANS!!

WEAR ALL BLACK SATURDAY!!

Time to get ROWDY, PROUD AND LOUD!!

GO BLACK GO!!

Sportscaster17, couldn't agree with you more. This one should have all the local high school football fans stirred up. I'm looking forward to another great game this week, but i don't know if it can live up to the expectations of last weeks Region 21 Final. Looks to me that Grove City has a couple pretty good athletes, and are well coached. Flyers CANNOT take this one lightly and look forward to the state game. One game at a time boys, one game at a time. Who is expected to be the home team in this one?

I thought Ashland did a good job providing seating for both teams last week.
The home side is 5000, the visitor's side is near 1000-1500. They set apart 1/4 of the home side for the visitors.

What happened to GCC player that was taken away in ambulance? From our side of stands, we couldn't even see him on ground with those big lineman guarding him, but they sure were careful getting him out of there. Best wishes to the young man

After watching some of that video, Grove City looks like some good athletes, St Paul has a real test here. Don't underestimate these boys just cause they get no attention! They are 12-1 and in the state semis for a reason.

Sportscaster,

Does KSU play on Saturday? If not will all 3 KSU radio boys be in attendance. If so, please get my party of 15 a wing special at Linder's for around 4:30 PM.

ehh... it's the 4th week in a row nobody is giving GCCS much of a chance to win...
I'd be worried if people were not predicting they'd win!

Should be a good game. St Paul is a great team and a great program.

Will be interesting to see what happens with GCCS if they are in tight one down to the end as they've basically ran away with all three playoff games so far...

Good Luck GCCS and we'll see you in Ashland!

I agree that any team who makes it to the state semi game must be talented and one to be wary of.

However, the learning curve for GCC from their first 13 games to this one will be steep. No more playing Puckerbrush and St Little Sister's of the poor. They better find their A+ game for this one or it could get very ugly early.

yea week 11 it was "the playoffs are different"
week 12 it was "you can't beat a team with the history of Shadyside (state runner up in 06)
Week 13 it was "you can't beat a team that won the region last year"

now it's another "you can't"...

we'll see saturday

as for "bringing the "A game"" no question!
same would go for St Paul... don't bring the A game and just like the last three games... GCCS will run away and coast to the win

should be a good game.

GCCS ia an up and coming program

St Paul is one that's been near the top and trying to break through with that ellusive state title.

I've followed Newark Catholic for the past 30 plus years so nobody has to tell me about tradition!

Best of luck to both teams.

I agree with both Buckeye dan and jawzoo. This game will be the deciding factor on how good GCC really is. If they lose handily, people won't care that they were underdogs in week 11, 12 and 13 because it was Region 23. If they keep the game close or win, then people will have to stand up and give them the repsect that they earned. Is GCC a great football team or are they a good team in a very poor region this season?? Find out Saturday at 7 PM.

It looks like they ride on momentum well because most the scores are from just one quarter. If they do go down how will they handle it?
