Of all your incorrect and bizarre post, this one takes the cake.ridgerunner88 wrote:I don't think NSP was that fast, GCC just couldn't get off blocks because of the size and strength difference. And the defense just poured through the O line. St. Paul fans talk about speed because they have so many sweeps for big yards.....I hate to tell you but it's called HOLDING!!!
I posted this on another thread. IMHO, this would be the order of the teams that St. Paul has beat this year.Helmetbuster wrote: No offense meant, but I think Ashland Crestview and Monroeville would have beaten GCC this season if the played in the Firelands. Congratulations Eagles on a great year and good luck next week to NSP.
Yes, they are trying to achieve their 1st on the field of play. However, St. Paul was the 1969 Class A AP Poll champ.Squirmydog wrote:
Congratulations to the Flyers on their own special season. I believe you are now one win away from your first state championship. Good luck next week!
Can't disagree with much except that Monroeville did beat WR so I would slide them down past GCC.Sonofanump wrote:I posted this on another thread. Western

Even though SP beat Mogadore by a bigger score, I believe that Mogadore would beat Crestview, Moggy just had no speed or passing game to match up with SP. Calvert seemed like a decent team, you just never knew which team would show up from week to week. I believe that GCC would handle Mville and Western.

I guess I was wrong to harsh 4 touchdown win predictions amazing it was almost double that. What a great job NSP has done this year and good luck next week.. take it all the way!sitegood wrote: What was the deal with GCC leaving first team on the field when St. Paul had second and third string players on the field? GCC coach must feel real good about scoring on the reserve team when the game was over! My opinion when one team pulls starters other coach does the same. GCC coach NO CLASS!!!
As to the subbing.. the only sore point my wife and I have had this season is the we don't sub in our reserves enough to get them more game experience and when we do it's a wholesome lineup change rather then spot subbing throughout the game to let the 2,3,4th stringers play with the starters.
I surely would have like to have seen GCC start spot subbing when the game was def out of reach and we were down 45-0 to at least give every team member who has worked so hard this year to have 1 or 2 plays during this final game.
Congrats on a great blessed season this year Eagles we love you seniors and thanks for all you've done! Next weeks final will be a great game and worth the drive to Massilion.
Finish Your Dreams Flyers!!

It is testimony to NSP's preparation when GCC was completely unable to access what they do well. I find it unique to find vicories on both side to come out of a game as lopsided as this. GCC has a great nucleus of kids coming back next year. I hope we meet again. This was a great week!
It was great to be be able to see what the next step looks like. NSP has been to the playoffs 13 of the last 15 years. If memory serves me correctly, the school itself has been in existence for 12 years. Our first state championship will happen in steps. These are not in any order.
Get the boys physically stronger- I think our team speed with our skilled people was ok last night. Griffin and Schweiterman ran through tackles and dragged people down field. The ol and dl pushed people around and #26 did a terrific job of recognizing the paly and shooting the gap.
Upgrade the schedule even more- The Newark Catholics and Caldwells of the world will start to notice GCC now because we have shown that we can add value to their schedules. Danville had a down year. I hope they will be back. I would like to see Rosecrans as a rivalry game. I would also like to join a conference. Any suggestions there?
Commit to football as a ministry- The school has a lot of mentorship and community service that would thrive with the increased publicity a perennial state qualifier would bring. I know this is hard considering 45 of 75 boys play football, but we need more players. The problem is GCC is tiny school with the beloved GC Dawgs right across the street, perennial playoff qualifiers Bishop Ready 4 miles away, West Jefferson 10 miles away, Teays Valley 10 miles away, and numerous bigger schools close by. Hopefully the tansfers, who have all fit right in, be an example other young men to come here.
I don't speak for the school. Just my persoanl thoughts. I would like to thank again NSP for being an important part of our special season.
Hopefully we can tailgate again at the dentist office next year, huh? This time come over and introduce yourselves. We had great food and plenty of it. I can't get away usually because I tend the grill. Same time next year. Deal?
