Madison Square Garden's stock is soaring today: http://www.google.com/finance?q=msg

Any correlation to a potential Lebron signing?

PS, before the haters come on, I am NOT a Knicks fan and I think deep down that Lebron is staying in Cleveland (although I would love to see him on the Nets) ...

I really think it's people with spare cash dumping into it taking the chance that Lebron goes there. I even debated it.

I saw that too. I find it very interesting because that is a good size move for a $20 stock. Makes you wonder if there is some inside info floating around out there making people buy knowing what LBJ's arrival would do for the value of the stock.

It's trading at 3x its normal volume level. There will be alot of money made and lost on it in the next 30 hours because both sides can't be right who are pushing the price volatility.

Then post it on the other LeBron threads. This news didn't warrant its own thread as oppose to other news. Chad Ochocinco tweeted LeBron is going to NY, maybe we should start a new thread for that.

It's not insider trading if people are investing it based on speculation or assumption (most likely case), as opposed to actual inside info.

Jared Dudley's twitter says Lebron is going to the Knicks, the press conference is in Greenwich, CT, the Bulls front office believe Lebron is going to the Knicks, and now MSG stocks are soaring. It seems that the Knicks chances have dramatically increased the last 24 hours.

Insider trading is a real possibility. In fact, anyone in close contact with LeBron that invested highly in this, will be in the slammer soon, if in fact LBJ bolts to NY. My take...a bunch of loser, idiotic Knick fans are placing their bets this way as opposed to placing them in Vegas.
