This is my take as well.

Even with this duo in Miami, I don't think they are a title contender...as they stand now. Easiest way to look at is...look at how they would match up against LA.

Sorry, can't really say I'm as much on the Bosh bandwagon as some others. I see him as a Stoudemire Part 2....ALL offense and couldn't defend my grandma. This is what Lebron wants...regardless of whether it's "good for the team." He wants another "star", ANY star. I don't think Bosh would be a great fit here. If we get him, great, but I think they could look in different directions and be a better TEAM.

I'd consider bosh a superstar. Wade and Bosh will get things done in Miami.

Bosh is without a doubt, a top 3 player at his position in the NBA. I would argue he's #1, but no one can say he's any worse than #3.

If that means he's the 3rd option on a team, you are stupid. These are the same people who were claiming the Cavs brought in their robin with Jamison.

edit: Only way he's a 3rd option is if Lebron joins them.

You are losing every ounce of credibility. Bosh is 10X the defender that Jamison is, yet the Cavs brought him in to make them a better team.

^^^Bosh's weakness is defense. Not sure what games you have been watching. Even with that, I think he is #2 at that position...behind Gasol.

Yeah the Cavs fans jumping off the Bosh wagon is kind of funny. Hopefully an enterprising soul will go through and find all the pro-Bosh sentiment they were throwing out when it appeared likely that a sign and trade was going down. The tide has turned mighty quickly.

I still would have loved to have Bosh here. Not sure that he gets us over the hump....but it would have definitely kept the best player in the game here.

I agree, but even with Bosh....

LBJ= Kobe
Gasol=Bosh

and the rest of the casts are a wash as well....would have been very interesting.

Haha...YOU of ALL people questioning ANYONES credibility is laughable at best. Did I compare Bosh & Jamison defensively? No, I didn't. I implied that Bosh is not a good defender. Sure, he'd be nice to run the floor with Lebron OFFENSIVELY but he'd be a liability defending.

And as far as "jumping off the Bosh bandwagon", if you read back a few days I've been mentioning that I'm not totally sold on Bosh as a fit for Cleveland's system, defensively. This isn't some new epiphany because he's not coming here.

Bosh isn't a mega stuperstar like some other guys, but he's a star. Look at the production. Pau wasn't anybody until he has a good team. Bosh will get his respect this year. To be fair, how many 2nd guys on a team in HISTORY have been able to dominate a game at any moment? I definitely think you were smoking on that statement. How many guys last year could do that as a 2nd? I would argue that those guys you named actually didn't do that either. Kobe/Shaq did at times. Pippen was great, but he couldn't pick and choose when to dominate a game. He wasn't Michael, not even close.

One of the local beat guys in Miami that cover the Heat said the Raptors were stunned by his decision to goto the Heat, because they thought he would go wherever he could get max deal at, and were negotiating with teams accordingly. They have no real interest in anything Miami has to offer and are now scrambling.

ESPN is reporting a sign and trade is very unlikely now.

I will say this, if Bosh really walked away from the guaranteed 6th year just because he couldn't bear the thought of coming to Cleveland, that is really harsh.

Sounds like momentum was really building toward a S&T with Cleveland and Bosh pulled the rug right out from under the Raptors and Cavs as neither team thought he would just sign somewhere else without a sign and trade in place.

Don't underestimate Lebron's camp thinking "well how sweet would no state income tax be for my billions I make from Nike, etc. be?" Because they definitely are considering it.

It would appear that perhaps a number of NBA stars prefer to be the focal point and not second fiddle to Lebron's powder routine. Winning to you and I may well be the most important thing but one has to remember that these men were once boys and boys are pretty egotistical. It may well be that the notoriety that comes with being a franchise's best player and best paid player is more important than how many rings you have at the end of a career. I don't know that for sure but I think it's worth considering.

I think Miami makes the most sense from a winning standpoint, but my heart tells me he doesn't come. I can see a few places that make logical sense to him: Cleveland because of the most money (just by a bit) and it's home. NY because he has another stud and if he wins a ring there he's a God forever moreso than any other place, even Cleveland. Miami because he's be teaming with arguably two guys that are at the top 2 spots at their position and a great FO. I just can't see NJ, and never have since John Wall wasn't a thought. But like I've said, if he doesn't go to Miami when they're able to give him the max, I'll know that there are bigger things than winning a ring to him or that he's crossed the line between confident and arrogant. I'd still think he's a real cool dude and have a lot of respect for him, but I'd just have to sit back and laugh that he won't be getting a ring for a few more years because he believed in something he shouldn't have and missed out on the opportunity to get some bling.
