Nix with 2 homers

Santana with a BOMB

LaPorta with another

4 total today..

Also heard that the Indians have allowed 0 home runs at the Jake this year... Longest homerless streak for opposing teams (319abs) in the parks history.

(And yes, I still call it the Jake and all of you better too!)

Who told you that? I'll take what they were on.

Nelson Cruz hit a HR for Texas in the Tribe's home opener on April 12, just to debunk that quickly.

Actually, that was my bad...

They didn't say 0 homers for the entire season.. They just said 319 straight AB's...

Is it just me or are we beginning to see a few of these Indians developing a little confidence and stepping up their games a bit. I mean we aren't going for magic numbers yet, but we aren't really playing all that bad.

Pretty sure ex-Red Adam Rosales hit one out at the Jake this weekend.

Swamp, this happens every year. Now that there is no pressure on these guys they relax and produce. It happens every year. They will cut it to 8-9 games back and people will think they have a shot, then they will play some good teams and lose 15 out of 20. The one thing this team has going for it is they won't be losing any real good players at the deadline like years past.

Yep, that was the end of the current streak. They were talking about it.

As bad as the Indians have been, they are 11.5 games out.

That shows you how weak the Central has become. Which is why the Indians can compete next year in this putrid division as long as they can continue to develop and add a few arms to the rotation.

11.5 games is huge. They would need to go 49 -31 the rest of the way out just to get back to .500

Well, I wasn't implying that they are still in the race for this year. But I am implying that the Central division isn't that good and that the Tribe are only a few pieces away from contending for it next year.

I mean seriously, to be 16 games under .500 and only 11.5 back is remarkable.
