While I'd be in agreement that people shouldn't get fired up over the use of typed words on an Internet board, I'd also say that, conversely, people shouldn't go over-the-top in using inflammatory or offensive words based on that belief. It just comes off as being offensive for the sake of being offensive with the bizarre justification that you're cool with what you said and if anyone isn't, that's their problem. It's the sort of mentality that really doesn't work that well in real life, but for some reason, people think that in the relative anonymous world of the Internet, it should be law.
Like, when I read this thread, I got a flashback to when I was a little kid and was showing off the new bad words I heard. Then...my mom washed my mouth out with soap and banished me to my room. Sucked to be me that day.

I remember a few years ago a university did a study where they placed some sort of device on the penis of several men they were testing. They had previously asked each person participating in the study to answer questions that would gauge their views on homosexuality. They then showed each man in the study video clips of gay pornography............nevermind I found a link to the study:

The only significant difference in degree of arousal between the two groups occurred when they viewed the video depicting male homosexual sex: 'The homophobic men showed a significant increase in penile circumference to the male homosexual video, but the control [nonhomophobic] men did not.'

I also find this thread extremely hilarious in that sleeper is creating this in an effort to whine about being "oppressed" on the politics forum. The same thing he blasts "the gays" for he is doing himself.

If only there was a way to set his account so it looks like he posted on his end, but no one else could see it.
He's obviously an attention whore, so the key is to make it so he can't get the attention. (because while some people will ignore him over time, others would always pick the fight he is trying to start like all of us today)

I love how one of his points that he tries to get across is that if you are offended by something said on message board then you are gay.
