I think a good start to game would be to put swindermen in a different uniform, start at tailback, and do a tailback pass. Worked at least once this year.

Good, then all the Dover fans can stay home...don't want to come to big, scary Steubenville!

Hey Dover, when was this game you're talking about, because we didn't play Dover in the late 80's.

87?

So now we need to look for a week 13 match up with Marlington - wouldn't that be sweet?

However, if Steubenville is not too injured and they've finished regrouping it won't be a cake walk getting past them!

I am a Dover fan and I was 3 in 87 so I have no idea!

95 on when we played down there I can remember it never being the most friendly environment, but I was 10 or 11 so I was scared of everything ha.

I don't recall anyone being assaulted or hearing stories of anything like that. I am sure that is a story that has grown over time but I am not sure.

Should be a good atmosphere at Death Valley. These two teams met last year in 3rd round for the Regional title and Steubenville prevailed 28-14. Also back in 06 in one of the best games I have ever witnessed Steubenville prevailed 33-30. I know in 06 the crowd was great and I am sure it was a big one last year.

Hopefully both teams come ready for a good game. Dover will have to play very well on offense I believe to win this one, but that is there strength this year. Defense has been playing better but hasn't been tested much in the last 5 games, Coshocton was good but nothing like Steubenville. I would say that Dover has a shot in any game with their offense but it has to be clicking on all cylinders.

I feel like Region 11 goes through Steubenville even if they are not #1.

Might as well start with them because you are going to have beat them to win the region one way or the other.

A whole lot of playoff experienced teams here, except for EL, who has played a pretty tough schedule. Hold on tight, everyone is in for a good ride.

Congrats Minerva! What was the score the first time?

A couple upsets this week could make things really interesting!

Are you kidding me? I was wrong about death valley? Another 6 hour round trip for a playoff game? Oh well, there are a lot of teams that just missed out on the playoffs that would like to be in the same situation. Any info on Sheridan would be appreciated; common opponents, etc. I've tried to follow their progress; maybe Granville has had some common opponents. I'm sure we'll learn more soon.

Their season has pretty much been a cakewalk, their closest game they won 42-14 and that was their defining win against Tri-valley. It's hard to tell how good they are, the Quakers are likely the best opponents they'll have faced all year, and should provide a good test for them.

Salem and Tri Valley both ended the season with 20.05 computer points

Question for Dover fans: I see that you lost a close one to Tri-Valley, and Sheridan beat them 42-14. Any insights into how good Tri-Valley is? They had a close game with Upper Arlington and they play in the same league as Hilliard Davidson. Just looking for some ideas as to how good Sheridan is. I assume that they are in the same conference with Tri-Valley

Tri Valley is a very good team. Dover didn't have their best game, a couple of turnovers hurt, but If you look at Sheridans schedule you will see they are 3rd only because they had a schedule of weak teams. Salem has a huge task in front of them.

Most Sheridan teams are huge and run the ball.

Tri-Valley and Sheridan are part of the Muskingum Valley League. Sheridan is a perennial playoff caliber team and Tri-Valley has notched it up quite a bit the last several seasons as well.

Salem will face a very, very good Sheridan team.

^^^Thanks for the well thought out insight Viking. Must be from a region where 12 pts gets you into the playoffs and 24 points gets you the number seed, like region 9. Again thank you

Don't short sell Salem ............ or a few other teams. There is a little more balance here top to bottom than some may realize.
