I was reading it in a magazine a few years ago and the magazine was talking to NBA ball players about the best ball players they ever played with and against. They all said guys in the L then when the interviewer asked if that included guys not in the L and they all said Oh Earl Manigult " the Goat" or Hook mitchell or other playground legends. A couple of them said that Earl was able to snatch quarters off the top of the backboard. I'll see if I can find the article.
