And it was encouraged by certain members of the 111th Congress standing and applauding a foreign leader lecturing us about our policies, horrible or otherwise.
A wise man once said, "If the majority of illegal aliens crossing the Mexican border were potential Republican voters, you can be certain the Mexican border would look like the Great Wall of China". Although both parties have been horrible with illegal immigration, one party has an incentive to flood the southern border with future devotees of their political ideology. It's why states like Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, etc., which used to be solidly Republican, are now either run by Democrats or are swing states.
