An NBA general manager reportedly told Jon Rothstein of MSG Network that Chris Bosh will certainly sign with the Heat as a free agent.

"This has been planned for a long time," the GM said. "Chris is going to Miami."

Why would a New York reporter believe what the Miami GM told him and why would the Miami GM tell someone that from another city? The reporter could instantly throw it out in the open and say its tampering.

haha....I have a feeling we are going to hear all sorts of "done deals" to NY, NJ, and everywhere in between for the next couple of weeks. I definitely think that Chicago is the best situation for him, but I will wait until a reliable site like jjhuddle reports it.

I figure the free agent hype machine will be out of control sometime tomorrow. It's getting close to the 1st and there really isn't anything going on besides baseball, and besides you know reporters are going to be trying to get an early scoop on everything.

They say that nothing can really be discussed until the 1st, but I have my doubts. I am pretty sure the free agents already have the field seeded and have probably had some conversation with decision makers.

NO BOSH DEAL WITH BULLSJune 27, 2010 · 5:48PM
Posted by Art Garcia

Chris Bosh hasn’t decided on signing with Chicago or any other team, his agent told NBA.com on Sunday. A report out of New York said the soon-to-be Toronto free agent was leaning towards joining the Bulls, along with LeBron James.

“Completely untrue,” Bosh’s agent Henry Thomas told NBA.com via email. “He hasn’t decided anything.”

The most-heralded free agency class of all-time is headlined by James, Dwyane Wade and Bosh. Wade is also a Thomas client. Thomas also told NBA.com recently that Wade and Bosh would keep all their options open.

James has decided, according to various reports, to host potential suitors in Ohio once free agency officially opens Thursday. The six teams believed to be visiting LeBron on his turf are Cleveland, New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Miami and the Los Angeles Clippers.
Dallas is trying to get into that mix, a league source told NBA.com Sunday. The Mavericks are hopelessly over the cap, but that hasn’t dampened the front office’s enthusiasm for making a pitch for the league’s most-coveted free agent.
Bosh was recently in Miami and has listed the Heat as a possible destination. Toronto general manager Bryan Colangelo has also said that the Raptors would consider a sign-and-trade with Bosh if a new deal isn’t worked out.

Players aren't allowed to wear headbands with the Bulls. Will that play a part in LeBron's decision? :)

Such a dumb rule. I can't believe that it still exists. I thought Skiles was the one who created and enforced that rule, but it was actually Paxson.

It should be the law to name sources imo. There really is no integrity with journalism these days.

Stephen A. Smith said on his radio show that he believes LeBron James and Chris Bosh will both join Dwyane Wade in Miami next season.
Smith wrote on his Twitter account, "I believe I have all the news on LeBron James and WHERE HE'S GOING." And he later wrote "I don't GUESS with news of this magnitude." Smith is plugged in throughout the NBA, but we're not ready to take his word as the truth. After all, free agency doesn't begin until July 1st.
