At least with some of your other arguments you can pull them off as legitimately believing what you are saying and it's plausible... this one, not so much.
The reason your trolling has been so effective is you have never taken such an outrageous stance. Sure, you're homerific when it comes to sports teams, but that's normal.
But I doubt there is one person in the world that legitimately thinks Crank that Soulja Boy is a better song than Thriller.

Prove it. What separates MJ from any of the established stars of today's age?
He had a unique form of music for his time, established many followers, and used that to build into the mind of the future generations that he has any talent. His music is very average, its nothing special, and I've never understood the obsession with his dancing, it's good sure, but nowhere near the level of today's dancers. Like I said, I'd love to see MJ do any of the stuff these guys are doing now, he's behind the times, this is the 21st century, the moonwalk is stupid.

It's not better, but its about the same. Did anyone watch the thriller music video? It's absolutely retarded, just like crank that soulja boy.But I doubt there is one person in the world that legitimately thinks Crank that Soulja Boy is a better song than Thriller.

prove what makes the stars of today any better than MJ. your only argument is that because the stuff of today is newer, it is better. and if the moonwalk is stupid, wasnt it Usher trying to do it during some performance?

Exactly, newer is better. They took the boring, pedantic moves of MJ and turned them into something about 1000x better.
Maybe if CB started molesting children, he'd sell a billion records too. LOL

If MJ's music wasn't shit, it'd still be in the mainstream. Things naturally get better as time goes along, I really can't think of one thing that was better 30 years ago, can you? Oh but music is the exception right?
LOL please.

Apples to oranges but nice rebuttal anyway.
Yes, yes he's dead now so let's move on but DO NOT insinuate that we should not evaluate MJ's actions. ANY public figure is open to scrutiny. He got paid well for his public stupidity.

I'm lazy, but do you really want to compare specs of a Toyota 30 years ago to a Toyota now?CenterBHSFan;402989 wrote:Toyota

I know what you mean, given the current recall, but is that seriously the best you can come up with? A recall for a single car manufacturer?

just because music is mainstream does not make it good. music is the exception. it's based on opinion, not fact. you cannot factually say that today's music is better than MJ. and the thing is, you can still hear MJ's music on the radio today. 30 years from now, Usher and Chris Brown wont be on the radio, and you can take that to the bank.

Name one current mainstream "artist" that will be remembered 30 years from now like MJ. Or 50 years from now like the Beatles. Good luck with that...there isn't any.

I guarantee CB and Usher are on the radio 30 years from now, on the NO ONE GIVES A F FM station. Once again, what seperates MJ from CB and Usher? What does MJ do that CB and Usher don't do?
Your logic is undeniable, I'll give you that LOL

Why does this matter? MJ was a first mover, an innovator in the music industry, of course he's going to be "remembered". Lucky for us his shit has been improved on 10 times over and we don't have to listen to anymore of his junk.
I'm sure you will still find plenty of people who think 1900's swing music is still the greatest ever, LOL. Cuz that's "real" music, none of that shit that's pretending to music now-a-days, right? LOL

Sleeper, this is even too outrageous for you to truly defend.
Your position that anything new is automatically better than anything prior is just as absurd that all the best stuff is from the past.
So you honestly believe artists out there in every medium (paitning, music, writing, etc.) must be better than the masters of the past (Monet, Rembrandt, van Gogh, Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, da Vinci, Dante, Shakespear, Tolstoy, Twain, etc.).
So as a society we are better off just pretty much ignoring anything from the past as it clearly must be inferior quality to anything we are producing today?

And if MJ's music was better today, it would still being played over this newer terrible music right? I mean if the new music came out and more people still thought MJ's was the best, they'd play MJ's to keep their ratings high.
Clearly this is not the case, you've been ruined. Give up.

People like new things... especially young people. Young people like to pioneer new paths, like "fresh" things. This isn't a new phenomenon and clearly explain the last point you tried to make.sleeper;403146 wrote:And if MJ's music was better today, it would still being played over this newer terrible music right? No you sound like an idiot any of the music that was played 20 years ago is not played today but still the music today is garbage. No one in R&B makes their own stuff they sample the music you are trashing. If MJ and his music wasn't relevant we wouldn't be talking about him now. Now you have been ruined. Give up.
