That's thriller, his most iconic song of all, the actually dancing starts at 8:30 or so in the video.
Compared to Chris Brown's most iconic song, "Forever":

I honestly don't feel its even close, both in the song, and the in the dancing.
I know a lot with disagree with me, based mostly on your biases you cannot control, and the fact that most of you naturally just want to prove me wrong, but if you look at it from an unbiased POV, it shouldn't be close, and I'm not even a fan of CB.
Or Derulo in this one:

Usher is another one who's more talented as well.
I'd even take JT over MJ:

It's cool, I don't expect you to believe me. You've never spent a second contemplating that artists out there contain 10x the talent level of MJ, mostly because someone influenced and convinced you at a young age that MJ was the greatest, and arguing against that was futile since that's what everyone believes. You've never spent ONE FUCKING SECOND trying to analyze other people, yet you know MJ is the best of all time. LOL
Like I said, enjoy being mediocre, because you won't know the difference anyway.

I own his Live in Bucharest concert. Earth will never again see a performer like Jackson. He did things that would blow even Houdini's mind. No, there will never be another one quite like Michael.
Certainly, he was strange. You don't balance your child out a three-story window or decorate the entrance to your bedroom with life size cub scout statues to walk beneath on your way into the bed you are to lay on for cookies and milk with children. But, underneath it all, Jackson was never found guilty of anything other than being just that, strange. Yes, it's unfortunate he became that way, but maybe even he didn't like the person he had become. Enter the drugs and the constant pursuit of escaping the realities of life.
He's gone now, and, even though I'm not a huge fan necessarily, I respect the fact that he was the best ever at what he chose to do in life. And that's an impressive legacy to leave behind.

You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure this one out. Yeah the hate for the guy is pointless. He is dead. And, when alive, he never was found guilty of anything, except for weirdness. Let him be.

And this is relevant how? Maybe he was, but he still doesn't have shit on these artists as far as talent. Look at it objectively, you honestly can't say Jackson's moves are better than any of these guys.
I realize that's entirely impossible, its a lot easier(read: lazier) just to agree with a consensus opinion rather than look at things objectively. And now you can't come out against your original opinion even if I change your mind, but its cool, I'm not expecting much out of the average human.

Great response. I'm very proud of my school, and it is one of the best in the country, but that is entirely irrelevant to this discussion. You're response is conducive to being proved entirely wrong, thanks for admitting it LOL

If MJ broke onto the scene today, most of those worshiping him would be dismissing him as "a media creation, weird for the sake of being weird, annoying, etc, etc." Same shit people say about Lady Gaga now.
In before: "lol, you can't compare Lady Gaga to MJ, MJ was the greatest of all-time. Why? Because I happened to have grown up during the time period he was popular."
There are great artist from every generation, people just have a tendency to worship those that were popular when they grew up because it makes them feel good about themselves for whatever reason. You see the same thing with athletes

It's nostalgia. It's a well documented phenomenon that people will ALWAYS think things were better back in the day, nothing new here. It's lazy, but it makes people feel important because they have the PRIVILEGE of watching the greatest ever, that'll never be seen again, "oh that sucks, I mean he's good but you should have seen MJ 20 years ago, he was 10x better than these guys"
LOL

haha and your just the opposite. it makes you feel better because you go against the grain. even know deep down inside your argument doesnt hold shit.

And you might say, well MJ was around longer. Ok, but MJ won most of his awards in his first 20 years or so. Usher is coming up on 20 years pretty soon and he has a lot of catching up to do. And here are some of the records MJ holds.
The Best Selling Album of All Time
Youngest Vocalist to Top the US Singles Chart
First Entertainer to Earn More Than 100 million Dollars in a Year
First Entertainer to Sell More Than 100 Million Albums outside the US
Most Weeks at the Top of the US Album Charts

MJ didn't have to compete with Chris Brown, Derulo, Timberlake, and a slew of other artists who are 10x the talent as MJ.
Cool argument though.

you're right, he didnt. he created something that was before his generation. during the time when metal ruled the music world. and if these new guys have so much talent, why are there so many of them? seems like there are new artists like them popping up every year. but nice argument bro.

Since when did being talented prevent others from poppin up everywhere? Music is a multi-billion dollar industry, you don't have to have one person dominating the market.
If MJ brought his shit new right now, he'd back laughed at and playing at your local club. The only reason people think he's any good is because his songs were different at the time, but now they have been improved on and perfected. Does anyone really think Thriller and its stupid dance is better than Crank that soulja boy?
The answer is no.

You guys have to realize that your arguing with a guy (sleeper) who thinks Bill Russell and Magic Johnson are not All Time great NBA players.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/This_Is_It_%28Michael_Jackson_concerts%29
I'm sure if Usher did an "This is it" tour he would have doubled those numbers. Not bad for a guy who would be laughed at and playing the local clubs with his new "shit".
