It's doubtful we come in that game at 9-0....Wooster may be 4-5 though.
I think the days of 10-0 seasons are gone...schedule is just too tough. Non-conf is always 3 solid teams, and the OCC, no matter the year, has 3-4 good teams. This year will be no different.

If the Wooster kids stay in Wooster....and if the head coach doesn't continue to handicap his team with predictable play-calling....and if the kids are actually "up" for games...the Generals should have another winning season. But I guess that's a lot of "if's" to throw around there, huh? They have some good talent at the skill positions, but I'm not sure how much the lines have improved...

Well Wooster had a starting lineman who missed all of last year with a leg injury. He should be back this year. He is a big guy for DP to run behind.
The coach just needs to get the kids to buy into the program. All the kids just not some of them. And yes I believe they will be above .500.
Start a Wooster thread.

I thought the Wooster kids actually played hard last year. They played a very good Orrville team very close.

Anybody know if the Turner kid from Wooster is coming to Orrville this year? I have heard he is living in Orrville right now but was not sure if he is staying.

I heard Wallace from Norwayne was a no. Turner still up in the air. Where would he play at Orrville? We have two runningbacks. wide receiver? Can't really see his Dad letting him go to Orrville.

I've heard he is coming. Defensive back-runner-reciever? I've also heard were getting a Smucker move in and someone from Waynedale to help on the line. All rumors. Does 1_Beast know anything?

real good turnout at camp last night. We have some good looking athletes spread across the field....I would attribute much of that to the new training facility. Word was the speedster from Woo was moving that day and would be at camp tonight. He will be a great addition to the squad! we lost some athletes last year and adding another is perfect.

The ever-gossipy Twitter makes it sound like it's a done deal.
"(Name) is about to be an orrville red rider...</3." (Posted on July 3rd).
Also reading about a transfer to Massillon...from Oregon. Dad is an exec. at DieBold. Kid got a scholarship offer from Stanford before he ever played a down of varsity football. They "think" he may play for the Tigers. LOL.

Sounds like another rough year for Wooster already. I have no idea if this thing will ever get turned around. If this is true, Orrville is getting a heck of an athlete.

The kid from Waynedale is C. Mullins he is 6'3 around 285 lbs. He was a off/def lineman, I am sure 1_beast could fill in more information. I have not heard if he is coming or not. The Wallace kid from Norwayne is staying not coming to Orrville as Riderfan said.

^^Not surprising...from the beginning, it sounded like that was a longshot.
Turner had 1000+ all-purpose yards as a soph. Here's to him continuing to blossom.
cc,
I think we'll know a little something more definite tonight. If he's at Orrville's camp, it wont take a psychic to figure it out.

Im not the expert that most of you think I am.....im slipping in my old age, (though not as old as 4ringz or BRF)...but if im correct, and i think I am... unless Mullins lives in Orr school district, it is too late to open enroll AND play this year!!! He has been seen at Waynedale's conditioning. I too heard the rumors, and could see it a reality...with his size...and the D-1's lurking..it may have been a more prosperous decision for his senior year!

I think you are correct 1_beast, but I heard his father lives in Orrville and mother lives in Southeast area (divorce). But I know he was entertaining the idea. I guess we will wait and see, but I would be surprised if he left on his senior year. Any update on the Turner kid from Wooster 5knots??

looked real good in a Red Rider helmet last night! I am sure a tough decision for the young man, but we will welcome him as one of our own. The kids on the team were much more in the loop and were expecting him last night and made him feel at home.

The kids always seem to know more, which makes sense. Good luck to the Riders this year. See you in a 8 weeks!

I can understand his reasoning for moving on to Orrville, but this kills me as a Wooster fan. The lack of interest and enthusiasm in the football program is falling to a new level. McCreary is really starting to lose the kids now, and with the talent that is coming up in the program, it's a dangerous time right now. Is it time for a change?
