This is an incredible draw for the USA/Ghana/South Korea/Uruguay to the Semi's. Why not be the team that takes advantage of it???
Seriously, we can realistically have some optimism (although I dont want to set myself up for heartbreak) for this World Cup.
As for my Serbia pick TrackandCC....well look at that draw. So Im not too upset. Aint no one got USA/Ghana/South Korea/Uruguay going far this tourney. At least that is my justification for those fuckers flopping like fish out of water!

I will be in the airport in Toronto waiting to fly to Europe at 6. So pumped to watch this. I keep watchin highlights of thegame today and I am so excited for the US. This is our best chance ever to get passed the 16 and maybe even passed the next one as well. We need to attack as well as we did today. I'm not sure we should start Gooch either. Think Finley will still start up top or will it be changed to someone else?

Findley better not start. I dont like Gooch either, but I could see him back. Id STILL like to see Buddle up top for a whole game.
BTW, in 2002 we went through to the final 8. We beat Mehico 2-0 in the first knockout match. BUT, you are correct that this is the best draw for us.

I do not believe so. THRILLED that Cherundolo was able to go these last 2 games without a card after picking one up early vs England.

I think they changed it this year so the clean slate isnt until after the QF. It is designed to keep players in the final if they pick up a second card in the Semis. So no, not wiped clean yet as in previous WCs, but the rule is still good for the game.

The more I sit and think about the refs taking those goals away though the more pissed I get. Man did the USA have all the cards stacked against them or what? Way to push through, I just hope ref problems don't rear their ugly heads Saturday!

As long as they don't give up that early goal and get down, they have a great chance to adavance. I am no soccer fan by any means but I will be watching this tomorrow with my buddies rooting on the Red White and Blue.
