First priority- Sign Phil

Lakers obviously need help at PG and the bench.. I love Fish but we need to start thinking about what we are going to do with the starting PG position.

Yahoo is reporting there is "strong mutual interest" between the Lakers and Raja Bell.. yes, THAT Raja Bell.

It'd be great to get a good defender and shooter to come off the bench.

I think Phil is done and a buddy texted me a little bit ago....said that Phil's daughter is saying his Laker days are over. So I am assuming she means he is retiring.

Idk..

Phil is all about rings, hard to walk away from trying to win 3 in a row.

It all comes down to Jerry Buss's willingness to open his wallet for Phil.

They detest paying him $12 million a year supposedly (and he probably doesn't love the fact he has been nailing his daughter for a decade now and won't marry her), but how do you ask him to take a pay cut coming off back to back world titles. Phil in alot of ways is every bit as important to that team as Kobe, and that team will change big time if he goes even if B-Shaw steps in to coach.

Give Phil his money and make him feel wanted and he will be back. He's kind of like Lebron in the sense that he likes to be told how special he is and how important he is to the teams success. He also knows the Buss family is over a barrel so he is going to milk this as best he can before he eventually signs.

Phil is going to have to take a pay cut to stay in La La land.

And apart from resigning him, we need to do something about the bench. I know it was said all year, but it's NOT going to get it done 3 years in a row IMO.

We need someone who can come off the bench and score and provide some spark.

I've heard the Lakers are interested in Crittenton, Childress, Bell and T-Mac.. haven't heard much else though.

I don't know if it's even a possibility, but Iggy would look good in purple and gold....

Doubt it's possible. We have no real pieces to offer Philly.

My pick right now would be the Lakers to repeat. They are just a little better than everyone else and if they gain home court again, write it down. The Celtics will be a factor as will the list of other usual suspects, but when the dust has cleared and the "bodies are dragged from the rubble"..(Quote from TV Mini Series "The Missiles of October" when Bobby Kennedy, AKA Martin Sheen is asking his brother why are we risking war with Russia over the missiles they put in Cuba). It will be LA again.

^^The Celtics are done. Mark that down. They are too old.

I like Phil Jackson a lot, so I wouldn't mind seeing the Lakers continue to dominate. I would, however, prefer the Cavs to sign Lebron and Bosh and kick the shit out of everybody...

They'll do it again if Lebron can't get a wing man. If Lebron ever gets a legitimate 2nd option, stick a fork in the Lakers and the rest of the league.

I really hope they do sign Bosh but when the lakers win it again and the Cavs fall on their butt again in the Playoffs Cavs fans will just say Bosh wasn't used properly and Lebron still doesn't have any supporting cast.

Shaq was 3rd team All NBA in 2009, Mo Williams was an All Star in 2009, and Antawn Jamison averages 19.8 PPG and 8 RPG for his career. Similarly, Pau Gasol averages 18.8 PPG for his career and 9 RPG.
