Mr Perfect to Mr Pathetic the last few times out for Braden. Hopefully the bats are alive and the Reds make it 2/2 vs Oakland.

Braden had a nice start to his season, but you had to figure a little bit of his great success was luck. He pitches to contact and doesn't have overwhelming stuff.

I like our chances tonight

Orlando Cabrera ss
Brandon Phillips 2b
Joey Votto 1b
Scott Rolen 3b
Jonny Gomes dh
Jay Bruce rf
Drew Stubbs cf

Dusty on Cordero:

"Hopefully, we don’t need him tonight.”

Uhhhhh no Dusty, when you use your closer, that usually means you are winning the game late. So you definitely want to use him tonight.

The only downside of the Cowboy being the pitching coach is we wouldn't get him in the booth anymore.

I don't mind Joe Morgan. He's better than Chris Welsh. I wish the Cowboy did TV more often

Corky with a big 2 RBI two out hit to pick up Heisey who had a very bad AB with runners at 2nd and 3rd and one out! Stubbs actually got a bunt down, but what was that jump he took to first base?

Thom and the Cowboy have great chemistry and make a great pair.

Whole lot better than Thom and Chris who hate each other.

Thom and Chris both want to be the man......Thom and Brantley make a great team of announcers......but I'd rather ahve someone who knows how to make pitchers without great stuff very effective pitchers.......Brantley really knows pitching....I believe he would help greatly.

1st and 2nd w/ 0 outs and failing to get in 1 run might come back to haunt

BP''s hammy looks completely fine.....Dusty shouldn't overdo him if a game gets out of hand one way or the other....and a day off once every 2 weeks or so

Welsh doesn't seem like he knows what his role is tonight. Morgan keeps talking where Welsh normally chimes in and by the time he is done, Keels has to take over for the play by play. It's creating situations where you have Morgan and Welsh trying to talk over each other. Maybe this is why you don't see too many 3 man booths for baseball

From John Fay:

"Aroldis Chapman will pitch in relief of Edinson Volquez tomorrow for Triple-A Louisville. Tomorrow is Chapman’s scheduled day, so following Volquez is not a move to the bullpen for Chapman.

But it will give the Reds a chance to see how he reacts to warming up in the middle of a game.

I think if he does well you could see more of him in relief."
