I suppose you don't know that Matthews didn't start until February after trading Ronnie Brewer and continued to play when Kirilenko was hurt.
Also, he's not even on the Jazz anymore so it shows how much he meant to them.
Sloan DOESN'T favor younger players, he just had no choice.
Who was Koufos going to play over? Okur? Boozer? Don't think so.

I really like Matt Barnes and think he would be a great pickup for the Cavs. He's kind of the mold of Delonte, but probably a little better of a player.hoops23;426922 wrote:Dunno if this has been mentioned yet, but supposedly the Cavs and Matt Barnes have begun contract negotiations.
I like this move if true. Especially if it's a short term deal.
He's a tough player and very good defender and excels in the open court. A lot of contending teams are after his services, so this could be a signing where we only sign him with the intent on keeping him until the deadline, then shipping him to a contender for a pick or two.
You do know that Mathews signed a 5 year/$32 million contract with Portland right?lhslep134;426989 wrote:Also, he's not even on the Jazz anymore so it shows how much he meant to them.

And Sloan has proven as much as any coach that the best players will play, whether young or veteran. Millsap is another guy who went in the 2nd round and was given immediate playing time in his first season.

What relevance does that have? My entire point is that he only played out of necessity. If he was THAT good for the Jazz they would have matched the contract. It was a restricted deal, you DO know that right?

Yes I do, and there is a big difference from paying a guy $400,000 and matching an offer sheet that will pay him $9 million next season. I'm sure the Jazz wanted him back, but they were able to get Raja Bell for $3 million and basically save $6 million a year.
The Jazz don't think he's worth that money, but don't think that means they didn't want him back.

You mean save 3.3 million a year, not 6. He doesn't get 9 every year or else it would be a 5 year 45 million dollar deal not 32 million.
Regardless, I see your point. But Matthews isn't worth 6.6 million a year, at least not to the Jazz, but it's all irrelevant to the point I was making that Matthews only played out of necessity and not because of any other reason.

Apparently it's front loaded, but they will save $6 million next year.Under his new deal, Matthews is set to make a staggering $9.2 million in the first year of his 5-year contract with Portland.
I agree he's not worth that money (although you could say you are worth what one is willing to pay), but Mathews proved himself as a capable NBA player. He is going to make more money next year than the #1 pick in his draft class, Blake Griffin.

BJ Mullens, Kosta, Mike Conley, D-Cook, and trade for Oden. Buckeye starting 5. Unstoppable.

Looks like Cleveland is trying to get Brewer from Minny also along with Sessions.

I'm not even saying there is necessarily anything wrong with that. They already sold their season tickets and have the TV deal in place, so if they want, they can afford to stay put and just hope to clear some cap space and build through the draft next year.
Not sure if that is the direction they are heading or not, which is why I asked, asshole.

Its obvious that this current team can not compete for a championship, thus they wouldn't be satisfied with the current roster. I think building through the draft is the best way to go, as a player to build around like a LBJ wont be available via FA and wouldn't come to Cleveland anyway.
KR - appears a S&T (for Dynasty that means a sign and trade between Toronto and Orlando.) hti a snag and Barnes is back on the market, though the Cavs offer was less than what Tor offered him. (Dynasty, that means the Cavs didn't offer him as much $ as Toronto and thus it would be up to Barnes to see if he's willing to take out offer now).

Why do you feel the need to explain things to me, after you completely took my post the wrong way, and therefore had to explain it to you?
Are you SQ reinvented?

I explained it for because you have repeatedly displayed your lack of intelligence. I thought explaining it to you would help you out so you wouldn't have to ask or talk out of your ass like you usually do.

So, you are SQ? So much for you leaving the site.

Nope wrong. You had to be explained even the most basic NBA FA rules and how trades works.
Edit: Opps sorry Dynasty forgot to explain that FA stands for Free Agent which in the NBA means that they are free to sign with any team they choose.

Around page 5 your start getting pwned pretty hard and your ass handed to you by several posters on here. You're a dumbass. No one on here likes you or values what you have to say, not even Gibby. Not sure how much lower you can go.

I don't think the Cavs are satisfied with the current roster. But as a fan I am happy they haven't went out and overpaid just to fill the roster.

I said prove it and you put a link to a thread, in which I read page 5 and nowhere on there did I get owned. People were mad because I thought all along Lebron would leave, I didn't agree it would Wade's team and I said it's a joke to compare Lebron to Pippen.
I'm not here to make friends, so I don't care if people like me. However, I do feel like I add to the discussions on here, sorry if you can't accept an opinion that differs from yours.
And I've never went on a mental breakdown over a website and declared I was leaving. That, my friend, would be considered lower.
