Villanueva looks like that dude from the original "The Hills Have Eyes" and the Motley Crue videos from the late 80's/early 90's.

Cavs fans, what would you package together for Miami's 18th pick in the draft? Miami is looking into possibly trading it and the Cavs are looking to buy into the first round. It could be a possibility.

I also just noticed the Cavs changed their logo just a bit. Didn't see anybody else talk about it on the threads I've looked at.

I've heard they are getting new uniforms this year too.
The new logo is just the old one with brighter colors. I'll go ahead and post it...

Doesn't matter if we get into this spot or not. We'll take a guy and send him overseas to play. Waste of time and money. Unless they're then in return looking to trade that pick as part of a package deal to get a PG? Could be a possibility.

I think Hickson is the only way the Cavs get that pick.

Realistically we are more likely to get collison and okafor for west/williams/hickson than Bosh or a CP3. I would take that trade.

I would hope that the Cavs wouldnt use JJ Hickson to get the 18th pick. I think they would be able to buy into the draft around that position without having to give anything up. I know that Minnesota and Memphis both have multiple 1st round picks. Grizz have 3 and the T-Wolves have 2.

I agree. I LOVE the idea of Bosh or Paul but I dont see it happening. I'd be happy with trying to throw together a package to bring in Okafor and Collison as well as buying a first round pick. I've heard some experts say that after the first 5 picks there isnt much seperation with the rest of this draft class. I'd like to go after a bigman like Whiteside or Orton if they are there in the late teens or early 20s.

i'd move West and Hickson for Collison and Okafor. then Trade Jamison and Mo for Bosh. buy an early-mid 2nd rounder and take a back up PG. Try to sign a flexible big who can match up at PF and C. Pray like madness that LBJ stays but know that if not you've got a good team base built.
Starting 5 would look like this
PG: Collison
SG: Parker (though it's not unheard of to upgrade here through FA or some other deal)
SF: LBJ (or Moon, if he's gone)
PF: Bosh
C: Okafor
Bench:
Green
Gibson
Rookie PG
Moon
Powe
Andy
Telfair

If Toronto's GM takes on that albatross (Jamison's contract), I have a sweet ass piece of land in the Everglades and a stretch of a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell him.

We'll find out by Thursday if it's as easy to buy into the first round of the NBA draft as some seem to think.

It cost Portland 2M to move up 10 spots in the 2nd round. If they set the bar, people will be spending A LOT. I doubt that's the case though.

So they are exchanging picks and paying $2 million to move up 10 spots in the SECOND ROUND?
Yet, the Cavs are just going to buy into the middle of the 1st round?
Gilbert will be losing enough money if Lebron leaves, not sure if he wants to throw away some more money to cover up Ferry's mistakes.

I don't think Cleveland would have to give up JJ for the 18th. I could see something like James Jones + Cook + 18th for Delonte + Powe + future 2nd. Jones and West would be bought out. Cook and Powe would be kept.

Dynasty: That's correct. Switched 2nd round picks and gave up 2M (it was first reported as 1M). Portland is very active and has the richest owner... money really isn't an issue. Nor is it with the Cavs. I don't think Gilbert cares if he's got to pay 3M to move into the first.

Why would Cleveland trade JJ Hickson (young up and coming guy) for the 18th pick? Hickson is already somewhat proven. NBA Draft picks after #15 rarely ever work out.
I could see Cleveland giving them cash or a veteran but not Hickson. That just doesn't make sense.

Where are you getting $3 million from? They paid $2 million to switch picks to move up 10 spots. The Cavs don't have a pick, let alone a 1st rounder. If the only thing they can offer is money, I would imagine it's going to cost around $10 million. Gilbert is rich, but he's not stupid.

I agree that it won't happen, but that's the only way I see Miami trading the pick to Cleveland. What else is Cleveland going to offer?
BTW, the only thing Hickson has proven, is that he has some potential.

Do you get more dumb by the day? I thought you were a legit poster, but every now and then, you say some of the dumbest things I've read on here. You have to be joking. Have you EVER heard of anybody buying a 1st rounder for 10M? Teams buy into the first round every year. It usually costs them around 3M to do so. There are a few teams that DON'T want their first round pick. They'd much rather have the very early 2nd rounders so they aren't obligated to pay them for two years.

So...the price goes to 10M if the Cavs want the pick? Get real dude. Other teams need money. Your "everything the Cavs want, or need to do is fucking pie in the sky" attitude is fucking deafening.
Get over yourself.
