Let's assume hypothetically Lebron and Bosh decide they really want to play together.

Why would they come to Cleveland to do it? Derrick Rose is a top 15-20 NBA player right now and will only get better since he is so young, and Noah is a good big man who averages a double double, and Deng is really solid (17 & 7 last year). Best part, all under the age of 25.

If Lebron is really all about winning, he heads to Chicago as the age and talent of the core along with a Bosh/Boozer type would give him a chance to build a dynasty. The money will be the same either place because he's only signing a 3 year deal so he can be a free agent again at 28, so I just don't see how Cleveland competes with what Chicago could offer.

He has NO loyalty to Cleveland. His loyalty lies in Akron and if he leaves, he'll be a pariah there too. His "loyalties" lie with his bandwagon sports teams (Yankees, Bulls, Cowboys) that he grew up rooting for.

I agree. Logically you can't say Cleveland is a better spot than any of the other mentioned locations. The kicker continues to be that Lebron is from the area. You don't know how much a factor that will be. I know if I were him I would have a hard time leaving. I would not want to go from hero to public enemy #1 in an area where they have celebrations for you in minor league baseball stadiums during the offseason

There's one flaw in that thinking though....he doesn't seem to care. He flaunts his Yankee gear at Progressive Field and he stands on the sidelines with the Dallas Cowboys at a Browns home game as if to say "yeah, I'm a dick but a rich dick and you all have to bow to me." I really don't think the fact that he will be public enemy #1 in NE Ohio will effect his decision.

Andy has an awful contract, and Toronto is never going to take on a soon to be 28 years old "energy" guy who averages 8 & 7 when he has 4 years and $32 million left on his deal.

The Cavs wildly overpaid for him, which was fine because he was one of their free agents and Lebron wanted him, but no other team wants that contract right now with the amount of time and money left on it at that production level.

Same hing with Moe. Teams know what he is at this point, and the Cavs will be lucky to get anything of substance for him because his contract is just as bad with 3 years and $27 million on it.

The only attractive piece the Cavs have is Delonte and his $4.5 million non-guaranteed contract. Other than that these guys have flawed games with big contracts that have alot of years and money on them, and they won't be "chips" until the year they expire.

My bad on the Varejao comment I guess but your post makes me reiterate "what do the Cavs have in pieces that Toronto would want?"

Delonte's contract , Hickson and maybe a few fillers? Teams won't be able to trump that? I guess that really does show by the lack of choice pieces that LBJ's supporting cast really wasn't all that great.

I've said that many a time since they re-signed him and I got my balls busted every time. I agree wholeheartedly with you. Energy guys who average less than 10 points per game are a dime a dozen

What the fuck is your deal? Cavs are almost at point of being a "laughing stock" only mentioned in the sweepstakes as a "courtesy" get over yourself. Nobody knows whats going to happen at this point.

2. He's gone, might as well face reality. There is no reason to think it didn't happen. JJ is young, I would question how talented he really is. He's a solid role player at best. I said in a sign and trade. Why would a team do a sign and trade for an expiring contract? That doesn't even make sense. In a sign and trade Varejao and Hickson are the only two pieces.
