What's the reasoning behind this? I haven't been paying too much attention, but is there anything else going on other than the academic issues last year?

That's surprising. Generally transfers are because the guy isn't going to get playing time, but Carter was in the rotation as a freshman. If true, must be academic related.

If its academics, there are about 12 teams in the SEC where he'd fit right in.

The guy obviously has had problems with academics. I wouldn't be surprised if he got kicked out of school rather than his optional transfer. Just doesn't seem like he wanted to attend class.

A relatively new poster with a total of 41 posts talking about a reliable source...

I'll wait till I actually see a real link until I consider this real.

I can tell you 100% he will not be in OSU uniform this fall because of academics. He is most likely to transfer to a JUCO college to get that straightened out, but I don't think the details of how he is going to get his academics figured out has been finalized. Thus, no link.

Isn't everyone relatively new? Would 2000 F word posts make him more reliable?

Indeed Ohio State has tutors and they are not other students. I know one of the tutors and she has been in education for 30+ years. I also know Stan Jefferson, Director of Player Development for Ohio State. One of his primary responsibilities is monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes. One must "show up" to take advantage of any tutoring program. Need I say more?

Just goes to show you that poor academics isn't always related to economics...his father must be very disappointed. I tell my kids all the time that no matter where they are from here on out, they represent my name....that should be the final factor in all decisions. (multiply that by 20 for Chris Carter)

Wouldn't surprise me at all. I just can't believe that somebody who is forced to attend study tables and has access to tutors can actually find a way to flunk out of college.

I have heard it all now.
Ones total post makes or break them when it comes to them being reliable or not reliable. Some of you not only take this posting crap way too seriously you take yourself way too seriously.

Go ahead and take your shots now I know this is another form of making things better for you.

What a fucking idiot.

Here is a free education to just play football. You only have to show up to class every once in awhile. That's it....
