Looks like a pitchers duel so far through 4. only 4 hits in the game, still 0-0.

Santana is playing well for the Tribe. He has a hit, a walk and threw out a base runner.

I think that makes him 2-6 in that department now and his batting average is over 3.

I know its early, way too early to get excited but the kid is living up to what many have been saying about him.

Tribe finally breaks the stalemate in the 7th after a chess match at the plate. 3-0 so far with Donald, Crowe and Choo RBIs.

well so much for being up 4-0. a walk, 2 hits, and a double, now 4-3 indians still no outs in the bottom of the 7th.

Two horrible teams giving the few thousand fans there a good game to watch.

Carmona never should have faced Church. But that is a discussion for another day.

Tribe gets out of the 7th barely holding the lead. onto the 8th, Indians 4, Pirates 3.

Surprisingly Kerry Woods holds on for the save. Tribe takes game 1, 4-3 and the pirates continue their losing streak.

Wood at times looks very good.

Was glad to see the Tribe pull out the win in this one.

Would love to find a reason to make the drive to that sweet ball park.

Carmona is back. His stuff is filthy again and his ERA is quickly dropping and could be under 3 if he has another great start or 2.

Carlos Santana is a stud. He gunned that attempted base stealer (name escapes me) by at least 2 feet. That was a rifle.

There is some reason for optimism in the teepee. What a shame that the owner pulled the plug on this team a year early because he couldn't take a loss himself. Carmona and Santana are Tribe products, and did not come in the Great Salary Dump of 2009. How much better would this team had been if Cliff Lee was anchoring the staff. It's going to be very interesting to see what Seattle will get for Lee versus the almost incredibly inept deal the Tribe made for Lee with a full year left on his moderately priced contract.

When I get home, I will post up the Glittering Wahoo. Perhaps my deputy, ts1227, can do it. WTG Tribe! Nice reading the positive comments, even NCF! ;-)

That was the only game the Pirates had a chance with Maholm pitching.

This will be a sweep.
