I'm going to go buy an American Flag after reading this post.

Amen.

You could have added a "America, FUCK YEAH!" at the end of it, but still a great post!

If you didn't find that dramatic and exciting then you're not alive.

This is why soccer is one of the most (if not the most) exhilarating sports in the world. Now, I'm not too sure I wanna see Germany in the Round of 16, I'd be much happier if we could have Ghana (Only score off of PK) or Serbia (Only goal against a 10 man German side). :)

What a great fucking game to watch. I was on the edge just about the entire game and started to feel a bit gloomy (my inner Cleveland fan took over around the 75th minute and thinking the US was done for...)

Then comes the 91' minute and HOLY SHIT! What a great game... This is why I love soccer!!!!

If Germany makes it out of their group we want them to win it. Don't want them to be our first game.

Yeah we should be hoping for a 0-0 Ghana-Germany game and a Serbian win right?

That's the perfect scenario but it would suck if Ghana and Germany tied and Serbia either ties or loses.

I'm naming my first born child Landon Donovan. Boy or girl, doesn't matter.

That works. Also, Ghana win/Australia win or a Germany win works as well.

Holy shit that game was amazing. It was exciting from whistle to whistle. I don't think I have ever seen a more exciting soccer game. There was never any standing around, just attacks and counters. The refs suck but we made it in the end. I skipped out of training at work to watch the game and am very glad I did. By the 90th minute we had about 10 people in the break room and when we scored a few people walked in and said what the hell is going on. It was amazing and I have so much adrenaline going right now that I can't sit still in this training. America!!!! Noiw we need a Germany win to not have to play them,

I saw in the ESPN chat thing someone said they were naming there first child Landon and the second Donovan. I might have to make my kids middle name one of those haha.

Not only did we win the group, we had a shut out. Our first in 16 games, I think it was.

I have a friend that has two sons named Landon and Donavan. And yes, they are named after him.

What a game. My heart was pounding for the final 10 minutes of regulation. Between Howard kicking bombs that never reached a US player and the Algerians sandbagging, I was getting pretty upset.
