I am finishing the basement and want to put another HD/DVR digital receiver down there. I already have one in the family room upstairs, and have cable throughout the house...so I already suscribe to HD and DVR service. If I buy one of these exact boxes off Ebay or wherever, can I just hook it up in the basement and be good to go??? Or does the cable company have to activate it somehow??? Thanks!
I live in the south and have Cox cable, they charge an extra $12 or so per month for the extra box, plus will make me purchase their receiver.
