Not quite the same feeling/tone as others mentioned, but The Sting was a great, great flick.

If the Godfather sequels are considered to be part of the Godfather, the answer is Goodfellas.

Otherwise it's part 2.

I would say Goodfellas as well. Although I am looking forward to the movie "the Irishman" set to release this summer about Danny Greene and the Cleveland mob.

I know I am in the minority but I didn't really care for part 2 of the Godfather. I mean I thought it was good but I have heard people say that it was better than the first and I have to disagree with that.

I just watched Road to Perdition tonight for the first time in a long while, and I think it is fantastic.

Goodfellas absolutely. I'm gonna get ripped for this, but I hated Casino. To me it was nothing more than an attempt at "Goodfellas Goes West". I concur with Bronx Tale, haven't seen The Departed. Really, Godfather I and II are so absolutely amazing that everything else (with very few exceptions) really pales in comparison.

Edit: Forgot the original point of this thread. The Untouchables is an awesome movie as well. Definitely watchable anytime!

Casino, Goodfellas, and whoever mentioned Donnie Brasco was a good call.

Zambrown, you hit the nail on the head! While I didn't hate Casino, I thought it was cliched and not in the same league as Goodfellas, the Godfather (parts I and II) and other classics.

Kinda anti-mob in a way, but Boondock Saints & Boondock Saints II are all-time classics.

The Departed and, if it counts, Public Enemies.

Johnny Depp is John Dillinger. A remarkable performance.

The Departed, a genius cast. Jack, Leo, Mark.

Shocked no one has mentioned Mean Streets by Scorsese. It's said that Goodfellas borrowed a lot from Mean Streets.

I read To Kill the Irishman, which is the basis of the movie. Great book. Looking forward to the movie.
