My father collapsed at work today (he's 61 and retiring in less than a month) and was taken to the hospital in Springfield. Leaving now to be with him (my mom and he are moving back to Illinois and she is already there...so it's stressful for him and he's alone).

EKG and blood pressure looks okay, however they are running a bunch of tests to find out the cause....so if you're a praying individual...please say a short prayer. Thanks.

Thanks guys. He spent two nights in the hospital for monitoring. They couldn't find anything wrong with his heart (although he has more tests). However, his heart rate was around 44 when he came in, got up to only about 60 while he was there and even dropped to 34 in the middle of his first night there. What's causing it...they don't know. But I'm betting that's why he collapsed....not the proper blood flow to his head.

They also found another thing while he was there...that has us all a little concerned. The doctor was pushing on his stomach and he had a pain. They did an ultrasound and found a small, unknown growth on his liver. He is scheduling an MRI later this week to get a better look.

My dad is 61, rarely drinks...eats healthy and exercises. He is the complete opposite of me. :) Please keep him in your prayers...he's the hardest working, toughest man I know and right now he can barely get around.
