Apparently he got caught with some weed and driving without a license..... while on probation.

Did he just one day wake up and say "meh, I don't like this life I lead, let's see how badly I can fuck it up"?

According to Springfield Police Sgt. Tom Borchers, Masoli was stopped by Springfield police at 9:17 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Kruse Way and Hutton Street after exiting a driveway without stopping. The officer cited Masoli for driving with a suspended licence, failing to stop while exiting a driveway and possession of one ounce or less of marijuana.
It is not immediately clear, however, how the new case could affect the year-long probation Masoli is currently serving after pleading guilty in March to a second-degree burglary charge. That case, in which a felony was bargained down to a misdemeanor, stemmed from a theft from the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house in Eugene in January. Hours after Masoli admited his guilt in that case, head coach Chip Kelly suspended his star quarterback for the entire 2010 season.

who stops before exiting their driveway? If it's really that basic a good lawyer should be able to get this tossed out.

I hope Chip tells him to run as fast as he can away from the program. Doesn't make him a horrible person. I know a person that did exactly what he did-- didn't get caught-- but I don't think he's a horrible guy. But that's never good for the image of your school.

I understand you can't do it, but who actually does stop? Unless this cop has a record of pulling people over for the same thing before this offense I guarantee his lawyer will get these charges tossed.

Even if he did it wouldn't change the fact of what he was caught with and I'm sure they won't be offereing him to rejoin the team.

I'm sure Chip Kelly gives a crap what some lawyer does.

Bottom line. He's already been booted from the team and I doubt that changes. Dropping the charges doesn't change the fact that this guy's character is garbage. Not who you want leading your football team.
