SQ, you have to understand that as ts1227 said, it wasn't the overall language that put your post over the line (although personally as someone who never uses that type of language in my own life I'd prefer not to read it but I tolerate it here anyway) it was the use of a sexual slur (faggot) that made it inappropriate and worth deletion. When you use a racial or sexual slur like that the context doesn't matter. Even if you were using it in a joking or sarcastic way doesn't excuse it. It's the use of language like that which perpetuates ignorance and prejudice. Also, as I recall, the use of words like that has never really been tolerated (and rightfully so). I also recall a special emphasis on this point not too long ago when there were issues with people using slurs.
As far as this site turning into JJ Huddle, this is far from it. This place is a type of community and every community has moral codes and social norms, that's all this is. Since you haven't gotten any support on this issue it may be time to stop trying to convince everyone else that you were in the right and reflect on why everyone is standing on the other side of the fence. If you still believe you were right and the rest of us are all wrong then you are free to leave. Also, if you had done something like this over on JJ your post would have been deleted and you likely would have been banning and if you asked why you probably would have been sent a message simply saying "language." Here you're at least able to question why your post was deleted and have a discussion about it (this thread). That's a considerable improvement over the ask-no-questions tyrannical fist that site was governed with.

As one of this site's Pittsburgh fans who actually likes to banter and BS back-and-forth with fans of other teams, I have to say that you make it hard with your incessant trolling of said "other teams". Yet, if you notice, your regular "Cleveland/OchoCinco Sucks" posts don't constantly disappear, even though other mods are fans of Cleveland and Cincinnati teams. What does tend to disappear are the stupid "I eHate You" arguments between you and SYL (and Skank, occasionally). I and at least a couple other mods have unapproved comments by ALL THREE of you that were nothing other than attacks at each other. If you wish to leave because you perceive a slight against you, well, I doubt anyone will miss you...but please don't insult us by pretending you were a victim as I know I'm not the only mod who's unapproved posts claiming you've committed a certain crime.

Like Al, make your own choice as to how you want to handle things. I agree with you more than I disagree and I do think you bring a lot of valuable information, especially concerning the NBA. But there's no legit reason you need to take on this condescending, insulting persona so often. I'm not going to lie and say I don't ever blatantly insult someone who I disagree with (accursed lameasses who had a problem with me openly wishing mtrulz had gotten fatally shot), but it seems you're in the middle of these heated insult-driven arguments all the time. At some point you've gotta take a deep breath and step back. There are more important things in life than being the smartest guy on the Internet.
