Bellaire Big Reds
I expect my team will flounder, being lucky to win 5 games.
I expect our once proud tradition to slip further into the abyss.
I expect our talk to focus on the freshman class so that despair does not win the day.
I expect this to be the last year of the apocolyptic slide in B town.
I hope I am wrong about the first three expectations, but I expect to be correct.

Bellaire is all but doomed. Time to remember your roots and pick a new valley team to pull for. Most likely the school that gets most bellaire players (shadyside)

I'm thinking 7-3 or 8-2, but those within the football program are thinking bigger and better things than I am. We'll see!

Steubenville Catholic Central and from everything I've heard, it's going to be another long year.

You didn't beat us last year and our team will be better this year than last! So you can wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which one fills up first!

2-8, 2-8, 5-5, 7-3, 7-3.
That's how the last 5 years have went for Utica. They've been on the outside looking in the last 2 years at 7-3. Had they went 8-2 both years, they would have made the playoffs. This HAS to be the year. If they don't make the postseason this year, I'm pretty convinced they never will again. Every key skill player is back, including Jason Hoar and Scott Cline. Hoar is healthy (finally) from what I've heard, and they have depth galore at the skill positions. The line needs a few key replacements, but much of the guys starting this year saw a good deal of time last year off the bench. This defense is going to be the best defense they've put on the field in 10 years (since the last time we made the playoffs) and the offense should be nothing short of explosive. If we don't win at least 8 games (I'm hoping 9-1) it will be a huge disappointment. Not often we can say this in our town, but it's MBC title and playoffs or bust for Utica this year. Nothing short of those goals will leave the players or the community satisfied after the upswing of the last 3 years.

Unless/until they find their next great running back at LV, they'll continue in the 4-6 win range. With that said, IF they do have a kid like a Nate Clark or Storm Klein emerge this year, they could be, like most of the last decade, dominant.

Pickerington Central should be playing in late November, and maybe early December.

Bellaire will never be doomed! Or at least it will never be doomeder. We can only go UP from where we've been.
As for rooting for other valley/B8 teams, I always do, unless they're playing that particular week.
All in all, we've had our highs and now we're experiencing our lows. It was bound to happen at some point.

With the schedule we have this year, I haven't a clue as to how the Buckeyes are going to do. I hope these Juniors turn out to be everything they're hyped up to be.

All I'm hoping for is at least 6-4 (preferably 5-0 at home). The Chiefs are 12-0 in their new stadium. Let's keep the streak alive boys.

One helluva football player right there. Gonna be tough to replace him. Who will they have filling in for him this season?

Looks like Dustin Young could be getting a lot of the carries. He was #2 last year, will be a Junior this year, and I'd estimate about 5'8, 165?? Don't quote me on that though. Speed, finesse, and quick decions are what he's about. Won't run through you like Derek will, but a very good back in his own way. We'll be juuuust fine come August 27th

Genoa: I see them going 9-0(10-0 if they schedule a week 5 game) and make the playoffs. What they do when they get there is hard to tell.

Sorry to hear that rock. I was hoping for a good game Week 2 in West Lafayette.
The Ridgewood Generals lost a bunch, but still have a good bunch of athletes and a little more size this year I think. I'll say 8-2 or 9-1, with another deep run in Region 19 possible.
