It shouldn't have fucked with him at all. It should have driven him to be even better. We are talking about the same kid who decided to quit practicing with Kareem.

That's my point! Dude isn't strong mentally to begin with and instead of taking it as motivation, he took it as butt rape and became butt hurt over it. Andrew doesn't seem like the dude who strives to be great. He seems content to just be in the league.

Look, I'm not even trying to get into the LeBron debate, because until July 1st, I don't give a shit what happens. I don't watch ESPN outside of games and I don't read any of their bs on their site.. Yahoo is the same way..

Adrian Wojnarowski has an agenda against LeBron and he always really has. He's always taken subtle shots at LeBron and the Cavs and honestly, I take what he says about LeBron with a grain of salt.

LOL, right.

If you actually read the article, you'll find that it makes a ton of sense. Remember when Kobe became a free agent a few years ago and when on Larry King to talk about being the ringleader? Neither do I.

I can't really fault LeBron though, he's the modern day athlete at it's finest. It will be sad when old school guys who only care about winning, guys like KG and Kobe, are gone.

So because LeBron says that he only cares about winning and the media says he only cares about his image, he only cares about his image?

This whole free agency thing reminds me so much of the Pryor recruitment.

I'm not sure what you want LeBron to do? The way the media is set up now it's impossible for anybody to come across as "old school guys".

And L-O-L for bringing up KG and Kobe.

Yeah, KG cared so much about winning that he kept taking the $$$$$ from Minny instead of testing options to join a team better suited for winning a title. And whether you want to admit it or not, Kobe is nothing without a GREAT supporting cast. In fact, he's nothing more than a 6'7'' version of Allen Iverson. High volume shooter who never really did enjoy getting his teammates involved (unless it was to prove a point that he had given up on the team)

Fuck outta here with that shit Trueblue.

SQ, what I meant by that was that sometimes you need to be a dick in order to get things done, something LeBron isn't capable of.

If he would have went to the podium after losing to Boston and said "Management needs to do something and do it now", all of the Cavs fans would be saying how right he was.

KG gave Minny his best years and damn near led them to the NBA Finals in 04. If LeBron re-signs and doesn't win, he'll be in the same situation as KG was.. stuck with a bunch of scrubs and no way out, then he'll have to request a trade.

As for the Kobe talk, you missed my point. Does LeBron care if the fans/media love him? Hell yes he does. Does Kobe care if he is hated? Fuck no. It's all about winning. Win at any cost. If talking shit about Bynum allowed the Lakers aquire Gasol, then so be it. Dude did what needed to be done.

No, you just need to see this for what it is--complete and utter bullshit created by the media because they want a story. Period. And LeBron is the biggest thing since Jordan, so it is a circus and THEY are the ringleaders. They've brainwashed you into believing that LeBron is something he isn't for their own benefit.

Does Kobe care if he's hated?

LMAO, this coming from one of the people who always talked about how Kobe was more popular than LeBron. Quoting jersey sales, fame in China, etc.

He isn't hated.

I do agree with you. It's not LeBron's fault that all of this shit is going on, but he isn't exactly helping it.

Not sure if Kobe is more popular than LeBron. Jersey sales, yes.. China, yes.. but how many people do you know that absolutely just despise Kobe? He is constantly put in the same sentence as Artest, TO, Chad Johnson...

Trueblue, the Minny situation doesn't even come CLOSE to comparing with the Cleveland situation and LeBron.

Why, you ask?

1) Cleveland has went out and grabbed established talent EVERY YEAR.
2) Cleveland spends money out of the ass to try and build a winner.
3) Cleveland has been CLOSE, but just hasn't gotten over the hump yet. Minny got close ONCE.
4) Cleveland is basically LeBron's hometown. Akron isn't far away.
5) Cleveland is BLESSED with a GREAT "B"illionaire owner (yes, with a B)
6) Cleveland will do ANYTHING to keep LeBron and prove that they want to win.

Those are just a few of the reasons why LeBron and KG can't be compared.

Just as many people HATE LeBron too. Lots of people hate on LeBron, read comments under articles. It's just pure, straight up hatred.

And I don't understand people saying that "LeBron isn't helping it"...how is he hurting it?

Established talent? Like who? Mo, sure.. great regular season player. Shaq/Jamison would have been huge coming to Cleveland 3 years ago. Jamison got his numbers on a shitty shitty Washington team. Shaq is well, Shaq lol. I give the Diesel 100% credit though, dude showed up most of the time in the playoffs.

Andrew Bynum is also probably the 3rd at best 5th at worst talented player on the team. He's also the youngest guy on a team full of vets. So, let's not act like he's a simpleton here. It's hard to get your shine on when you're on a team like the Lakers. Put him on the Cavs? And he's probably the best player that LeBron has ever played with.

As for the Kareem thing, Kareem is an egotistical dick, and I wouldn't want to practice with him either.

Are you kidding me?

You beg him to say something, and say he's said nothing when in reality all he has said is that he wants to weigh his options (his right as a FA). But then when he does say SOMETHING, you essentially say he is a lying and that NY or NJ actually has the edge--as if Rob Parker knows something LeBron doesn't?

It's embarrassing that they can't just wait like the rest of us and they go to incredible lengths to try and turn nothing into a story.

SMFH. Why isn't the same being written about every other free agent? Oh, that's right, because LeBron "sells papers"...yet they convince so many people of total BS so easily.

Well you know what Rob, maybe, just MAYBE, it's you that have been a little overbearing and premature in your reporting of this "story".

waiting =/ ratings

I'm with you, sage. i'm not calling him an attention whore, just the part where I don't care to read about the hoopla, i just want to see where he does end up.
