i didn't see a replay of the Philips ball, so i cant really comment further.
although, the fact that Stubbs is in the 8 hole is great because he is hard to double up and he can drive in a run with a ball on the ground.

If Phillips would have hit that DP ball back to Rhodes it would have been a DP, but the Cards runner was hustling and when Rhodes had trouble getting a handle on it, they didn't get the DP and let the Cards continue the inning.
