No, I'm not up for an upgrade until November or December.. How is it though? I'm still debating on the EVO, the Hero, or whatever other Android phone may be out by then.

Definitely EVO over Hero..... When it time for upgrade Sprint might have new palm/webOS phone, iPhone or new Android announced.....

26 days until i get my evo. any idea what the evo will run with a 1 year premier upgrade. iphone is like the old motorola razors, fun for a while but eventually you want something more. have a pre now and doubt i will ever buy another palm with all the issues ive had.

U can buy it for $299 from Sprint with $100 mail in rebate or go to best buy/radioshack and purchase for $199 after instant rebate. My activation didn't go smooth at bestbuy bc sprints servers were hammered. I got my free Bluetooth, free car charger and activation waived by Sprint. If you've had issues and are documented by Sprint, u might be able to call and get an early upgrade... worth a try!

It is $190 on wirefly and if you go through bing.com, you can get $50 cashback...pretty sweet deal.

We sold through probably 100 between friday and saturday, barely a hitch except that by 4pm friday our entire system was down and we couldn't do a damn thing. Good thing we ran out of EVOs by then, haha. Got a drop shipment saturday morning, sold em all by the end of the day.

So far the reviews are through the roof. People love this phone. We have people walking through our doors that bought it elsewhere just to buy accessories and rave about the phone.

imex, what do you think?

You guys are definitely swaying my opinion toward the EVO. I was watching some review vids/demonstration vids on Youtube and everybody seems to love it.

This might finally be the PHONE to compete with the iPhone in terms of popularity and features of use.

Honestly, the Incredible is better than the Iphone, so most of the ones coming out this summer will be better as well....EVO, Shadow, etc

Really like it so far... Trying to decide what Twitter app to use after testing a few. I downloaded the audible beta app bc I couldn't listen to my audible books on the Pre. I also downloaded the Swipe keyboard.... its pretty neat but takes some practice but u can type fast as hell on it.
One thing I do need is a roam only hack or widget. Sometimes I'm in a bad location and Sprint phones don't always transition well to roaming or stay in roaming and tries to go back to Sprint service but it isn't available. On my pre I had a tweak/hack that did this and I loved it...

I've decided on tweetcaster for my twitter app, I absolutely love my swype keyboard and found a solution to my roam hack.... Loving my EVO.

Has anyone else picked one up?

does the evo update your phone from facebook contacts like the pre does? that is about the only pre feature worth anything.

I like the google contact sync and facebook sync.... No worrying about transferring contacts, just sign into your google profile and off you go.

I bought a Hero off ebay to keep my upgrade status for December so I can still buy the EVO (or another phone, should a better one be out by then)

I don't think I can own another phone other than Android phones now though. Coming from a Blackberry this is night and day. Android is so customizable and the apps are plentiful..

I love the Google account sync, all my contacts were transferred over in a flash, simplicity!

imex, how did you get the Swype app? I looked into it but the beta is closed.

Nice, thanks.

BTW, do you go to the forum straight from your phone and d/l or d/l onto your computer?

Yeah, I am not sure if the 4.3 screen is not overkill. There are reviews out on that new Dell Streak...it has a 5" screen. Most say that it looks ridiculous while talking on the phone.

Yet another copycat of the iphone.
