Did you even get past 4th grade with your reading comprehension?

Read the original post again, and please tell me if you really think the original "writer" of the letter was serious. If you still think he is serious then good Lord you are retarded.

I got it, but I already read this book

http://www.amazon.com/Year-Living-Biblically-Literally-Possible/dp/0743291476

which covers everything he talks about in the letter. Rip off maybe?

I get it and its certainly not the first time someone has brought up and made fun of Old Testament laws, I just don't think its funny.

Yeah, I don't think anybody missed anything or that any thought flew over their heads. It's just that all of this is quite frankly, redundant and tired.
I know, I know, I'm the Debbie Downer now. Let the bashing commence!

No I am not saying that. That story isn't funny. But to show I can find humor in the Bible, I did chuckle at this verse Deuteronomy 25-11&12.

Story isn't funny to you my friend. I find it funny I mean god says let there be light and poof the sun??? The entire earth flooded and a man crammed 2 of every animal on a boat??? Look I am being stupid I know but it all comes to this, if you believe it fine, if you don't fine. I just find it funny as soon as someone makes a joke about religion or jesus or the bible etc...it turns ugly. Both sides already either believe or not, you aren't going to change that.

Actually God brought the animals Noah just had to build the Ark but he did have 100 years to do it.
Everyone has the opportunity to believe or not, God gives everyone that Freewill Choice. But let me ask you this, if you don't believe in Creation how do you think the Earth and everything in it was formed?

Like you I don't have the answers but I don't pretend the bible does either. Its a question we likely will never know the answer to.

This forward went around a few years back. It's a little amusing (inasmuch as it's like a "gotcha"), but it's not something that really is much of a gotcha (inasmuch as this stuff is abrogated OT code--interesting and useful for historical purposes, but not something of particular relevance today).

Thankful I don't live under the law of the Old Testament. Would have been stoned by my parents long ago. Thankfully those Old Testament laws were rescinded with the arrival of Christ and his fulfillment of the promise.

now if you think that Christ's arrival somehow makes certain acts no longer sin, well more study must be done.

Because, as the ICP have claimed, "magic everywhere in this bitch". That explains all.

Seriously, my response would be to return volley with, "What makes you so confident that this one particular religion has the correct answer or is worth anything tangible?" There have been a vast number of religions that share to various degrees multiple aspects concerning the proper way to live, the creation of the world, the afterlife, a potential apocalyptic struggle, etc. What makes Christianity "right"? The fact factions endorsing it were able to overthrow the Roman religion and gain it major influence as a primary religion in the world? Existence is a wheel -- nations and religions rise and fall. Hell, if one of us suddenly comes up with really profound thoughts and becomes a major controversial theological figure, he/she could be this era's Jesus!!!! And, hey!!! Wouldn't it be a trip if L. Ron Hubbard (Cap'n Scientology) wound up being considered by future historians as a similar larger-than-life figure?

LOL...you'd be surprised (or maybe you wouldn't be) at how many times I've been discredited due to using Juggalo "wit" as my primary source in any argument.

I lol'd because its true. The bible(and really any religious book) is a complete joke, and Scientology basically provided the evidence that religion is nothing more than circle jerking on a grander scale.
