I am in my 3rd decade of driving and have never broken down in the middle of nowhere.

Because you asked "why would I wish that...", and if you couldn't figure out it was a joke, then I'm sorry. I think my post was more out of curiosity, just worded in a different way. I just don't understand when people are proud that they don't have cell phones or say their kids aren't getting phones till they are 18. They are one of the biggest conveniences we have in the world, you can get in touch with anyone, anywhere, anytime in seconds. If you are in danger or are hurt, or someone else is hurt, you can call for help. If you get lost you can call for directions...; pretty soon there will be no need for house phones, I don't see any valid reason not to own a cell.

Blackberry Curve. Just upgraded from a Blackberry Pearl. Love the new Curve, no more trackball. Instead, it uses a 3/8 inch touch pad for movement.
