And they were anything but viable. He can't play for them.

AGAIN, why are we talking about LeBron?

No one, that's why the thread is titled Suns @ Lakers. Not LeBron James.

For real, last time I'll address this in this thread--there are countless LeBron/Cavs threads around here. I'm not running away from this debate, but start it in one of them if you want to talk about this. I'm sick of threads becoming a bunch of posts of pointless bullshit that doesn't relate to the thread topic, that ultimately takes away from the discussion because it turns people off to posting on them.

Huh? I've taken this same stance on multiple threads recently, it's not about high road/low road it's about the quality of the discussion. When we don't have bullshit like what you just pulled in threads there end up being far more people posting in them--and posting their real opinions and intellect as it relates to the topic. I'm not here to have a 5 year old level discussion with you and I've never been that guy...

there is 10000 lebron threads around anyway, so how can we have a decent discussion when they are all over the place?

I jay can't imagine Kobe letting us lose this game, even if he has to go for 60 to win.

I'd say it was very clear that I was addressing a different issue. I never said I wasn't going to post in this thread again.

Like all of the ones that you bumped from the 10th fucking page?

Do you have anything intelligent to add or are you just trolling today?

Yeah, so the point still remains, why the hell wouldn't you go to one of them to talk about him. Christ give it up.

Don't blame me for the fact that without stepping on the court he's still a bigger story than the games that are still being played.

I know threads get sidetracked. But there is a difference between getting sidetracked because of the discussion and getting sidetracked because of trolling and someone just spewing pure stupidity.

Like I said before this series started, the Suns bench will pretty much be the deciding factor in this series. It seems as though whoever the Suns bring off the bench, they don't miss a beat. Every one of those players can contribute in a big way, and having been doing so all season. I didn't get to catch the game last night, but I believe I heard either on Sportscenter or NBA fastbreak that it was the mostly the Suns bench who outplayed the Lakers in the 4th. I believe I heard Nash didn't come back in in the 4th until around the 3-4 mintue mark.

Now if Frye continues to come out of his recent slump, their bench becomes even more dangerous. Stoudemire is simply to fast and strong for Gasol to contain. Lopez has been playing well coming off of his injury, and like someone else mentioned, he brings a sense of toughness to this team. The rest of this series is going to be very interesting.

It's because the Suns bench>>>Lakers bench. But that's been the case in basically every game the Lakers have played this season. The problem is, the Lakers starting 5 is allowing the Suns to control them. Jacking up an uncharacteristic amount of threes, not getting to the FT line. I understand that that is what a zone is designed to do, but it doesn't mean that you can't attack it and neutralize it. They aren't doing that, they're playing right into the Suns hands and jacking up long range shots and not forcing the ball into the paint. Gasol needs to be more active. And Artest and Odom need to grow a pair of balls. Never thought I'd have to say that about Artest.

Not to mention, their defensive effort has been lacking, and I know Kobe made that a point of interest in his post game comments but it starts with him. Not that I don't think he doesn't know that, but his effort hasn't been great on that end either. Part of that is because of the offense being inept and him having to go balls to the wall on that end to keep them in it. They just need to start playing THEIR game and stop playing into what the Suns want them to do.

There is no team I trust more in a pivotal swing game than LA. They fucked around with Houston last year and then smacked them. They fucked around with Denver last year and then smoked them. They fucked around with Utah last year then took care of them. They fucked around with OKC this year and then took care of them. They went into Orlando and kicked their ass after Orlando got back into the series last year. The only game LA failed to show up when the series hung in the balance was game 4 vs Boston in 2008, and even that one was one of those once in a lifetime type of chokes where they played great for 75% of the game. Role players always play better at home. I expect LA's bench to tighten the gap between they and Phoenix's and I expect Ron Artest to shoot a little better. I also don't think Robin Lopez will have the effect he did in the last two games when on the road. I think LA will win this one then go back to Phoenix and eek one out to get to the Finals.

Phil and Kobe were right though, they shot 49%. Offense isn't really the problem except for changing their strategy and not jacking up so many long range shots (because they don't need to). They have to play better on defense. But I agree, they're fine.

Just saw a few replays of Kobe's post game presser.

There is NO WAY in hell the Lakers lose game 5. NO WAY. And honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they win by 20+.
