I'm looking for some clarification on this. Monday at 3pm Mexico plays England...I was pleasantly surprised to see what I would be able to watch it. It's on some random FSN channel I happen to get.
But what are the implications of this game? Obviously I know nothing about the set-up of when teams play and why. It's marked as just a friendly game, so it's an exhibition? Is the outcome meaningless and is just a warm-up for the Cup next month?

Just a warmup. I'm guessing its to judge who will be named to the final World Cup squads.

Exhibition. Teams will often play friendlies throughout random years to get younger players some experience etc. Get the guys ready for the meaningful games.

This one will pretty much just decide which 7 are cut from the 30 to 23 man squad. It is basically just a tune-up. It will have no implications moving forward.

Cool, thanks.
I can't wait for the Cup. The USA-England game is going to be a fun day.

USA vs Czech Republic tonight. Second to last tune up before the big stage. I REALLY hope one of our forwards plays great tonight (sans Brian Ching) so that they are starting with Jozy (subsequently, not Ching...)

Second-to-last tune up. They play Turkey in Philadelphia on Saturday.

But I agree w/ your sentiments. I'd love to see Buddle or Johnson shine so we don't have to subject ourselves to the awesomeness that is Brian Ching.

I caught a few Galaxy games this season and Buddle has been impressive.....granted it is the MLS. I'm hoping he brings it in South Africa!
