get mad about their man having gone to a strip club? I don't mean a guy that goes regularly, I mean for a bachelor party or birthday or having gone in the past for said reasons.

The thread about girlfriends and wives going to the strip club got me wondering as I have known some women that get mad about this. As long as it is not a common thing, I don't see it as a problem.

I have been to a strip club maybe 5-6 times in my 27 years, but I don't know why women get so upset about once or twice every couple of years (for bachelor parties or birthdays).

Ladies, thoughts?

And that has to do with their man how? I'm not asking whether they like the strip club or not, I am asking why they get mad at their man for going. I can't figure out a reason beyond insecurity and lack of trust.

I certainly wouldn't get mad at my GF for going to a male strip club for a bachelorette party. I do know some men that would, but those guys I know are very insecure.

Economics. Why anyone would pay money to watch someone do something that you can watch and experience for free at home is beyond me.

I did date a lady that liked watching and then trying some of things we watched.

Or is it more like, "Damn, look at the rack on her. You think this place funds a 401K for their strippers, or do they provide health insurance and leave retirement and pension options up to the individual?"

Ok I'm a lady so I will give you an answer.

I don't mind if they go and watch. If you're single .. I understand. You have no one to go home to, you wanna have fun, ect. If you are attached, you have someone to do that for you .. and more. Besides strip clubs usually have cover charges + tips + overpriced weak drinks.

I mean my boyfriend knows I don't like him going. If he does go I will tolerate it won't be happy about it and maybe say something to him about it. But I don't want him to go and get a damn lapdance. That's just not cool to me. But that's just what I think. And it's not that I am insecure, it's just why do you have to go if you have someone who can do all that for you and more. Ok, I'm done.

My friend recently got married and their rule is strip clubs are only acceptable for bachelor parties lol. I can see why it offends some women... maybe because they do not agree with strip clubs in the first place (i have a few friends that are like that and will not date someone if they go to strip clubs). Honestly, I do not care if it is a very occasional thing, but if money is tight and you want to go to the strip club that would piss me off ...lol if you tell me we can't go to dinner until you get paid and you went to the strip club a week before... we might have some issues lol

Ok, not really. Haven't been to one in about 4 years, but I just wanted to get that line in!

Women and Men can get mad at this.
When watching these stripers they probably fell their ,man /woman,are thinking about doing it with these stripers and they just don't like their mate feeling this way.

I really don't have an interest in strip clubs but my wife never decides if I were to go or not. It's not up to nor has it ever been up to here. If she didn't like what I chose to do I wouldn't have asked her to become my wife.

If your girlfriend gives you a difficult time about it you've picked the wrong one...move on.

Ok, I will say what everyone is afraid to say. This is all about Ego on both sides.

Men: We like to go there because we get treated like we are important by women that would not (usually) give us the time of day outside of those 4 walls. The women pretend to be interested in us in a way that we rarely if ever get the attention at home. Now, I have not been to one in 4-5 years, but the thought would never cross my mind if my wife acted like a stripper two or three times a year. Guys, lets be honest here. When was the last time your girl got sexed up (hair, makeup, skimpy clothes) to give you a lap dance?

Women: This is almost 100% about insecurity. You are afraid that we would rather be with these women instead of you. In 99% of the cases we would not. I can not speak for all men. The truth is that if you acted like them every once and a while it would scratch the itch. In many cases for men it is not as much about the looks as it is about the attitude.

I dated a former stripper when I was in college, and we had many conversations about it. She told me that 90% of being good at the job was from the neck up. She told me stories of men that came in (and paid her) to talk about their job/wife/whatever. Not to put her or myself down, but she was most likely average as far as looks went where she worked, but she always made way more than the others because she made the guys feel like they were important/desirable. Wether we like to admit it or not, this is why we go. We can look at boobs on the internet, or at home.

I agree with everything in your post but the last line....boobs on the internet are not the same as in real life lol. It's hard to motorboat a computer monitor.
