The bulls could get LeBron, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and a coach. John Calipari? Phil Jackson? If this happens they would probally be my favorite team.

Ok, I'll bite.

Lets just say the cap is $56 mil for next season.

James, Wade, and Bosh will all command the max contract. You're talking ~$16.5 million/season FOR EACH GUY. Add those up, you have $49.5 million of your cap spoken for. Rose is on the hook for about $5.5 million next season. Now you're up to $55 million. What are you gonna do with that extra $1 million? Get a bunch of bums off the street to fill your bench? Maybe see if you can get Sasha Vujacic to come play in Chicago for a ham sandwich?

This is ultimate fail.

Its not an ultimate fail.

The Bulls "could" get them but those guys wouldn't get their max deals in order for Chicago to fill out the roster.

None of them are going to take a significant pay cut just to play in Chicago with each other. Bosh, maybe (and even then it would be slight), DWade and LeBron, no.

I'm under the assumption that the only guy the Bulls somehow hang on to is Derrick Rose, and somehow make unsuspecting teams eat their departing contracts. I don't even know if it's possible. Too lazy to look up the nuances of the Chicago Bulls contract situations.

But, that said, this is a ridiculous debate.

none of them will take a pay cut but if anyone would it would probably be bron. salary to him is not where he makes his cash, bosh def wouldn't take a cut other than leaving toronto and their extra money they can pay him.

Who gives a fuck what the Bulls can do? I don't care if the franchise folds and the United Center burns to the ground.

Per espn insider:

"In the space of five minutes I heard from three NBA GMs via text, e-mail and phone. All three said that based on the information they have, they believe LeBron will leave the Cavs. More surprisingly, all of them said they believe the destination will be the Chicago Bulls. Two said they believe that John Calipari will be the Bulls' new head coach. One GM went a bit further in a phone call a few minutes later. 'I think the Bulls are really going to go for it. Look for them to offer the Cavs Luol Deng in a sign-and-trade for LeBron. That will allow them to retain most of their cap space. Then they'll go after Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh as well.'

Definitely won't get all three, but lebron + wade/bosh is a possibility for sure.

Vegas still has the Cavs as the faves to keep LeBron, listing them as Even.

Chicago is definitely coming on strong though, at 3:1

Miami is 8:1

NY is way out of it at 20:1

I'm now guessing, after watching that series against Boston, that LeBron puts 1 milli on NY and signs with them.
