I was perusing redstate, and they put up a link to this guys campaign ad based on the shear awesomeness of it. I totally concur, and wish this guy would run for national office instead of Agriculture Commissioner in Alabama just based on his ability to make a video like this. He seems like a total B.A.

This ad only had a 1,000 views when I first posted it not even 3 hours ago. It is now at almost 7,000. Seems like the country is fast discovering (and liking based on the youtube comments) the awesomeness that is Dale Peterson.

When I saw this and decided to post it I immediately thought about how this guy seems like a public servant you could vote for.

Dale is now at 150,000 views by the way. Not surprised at all it is catching on.

Gawker posted this on their site now and this was their take on it. I am not sure where Dale can go from here but I am sure waiting to see the follow up.
This Campaign Ad Is the Most American Thing Ever Made

Maybe you remember Alabama gubernatorial candidate Tim James' flag-waving "We Speak English" ad. This spot from Republican Alabama Agricultural Commissioner candidate Dale Peterson makes James look like a gay Commie terrorist. Dramatic music! Guns! Horses! Drawling! God Bless America.
Some of the phrases he uses are tremendous. When he talks about the "thugs and criminals" who keep people in the dark so they can spend all the money is great. I also found funny the way he said "they don't give a rip about Alabama."


This though may be the part of the entire ad:

"Here we are losing 3 family farms a day, illegals bust in by the thousands,and Alabama's unemployment is at an all-time high. What are my opponents doing about it, stealing yards signs in the dark of night from my supporters."

Finally have to love the image of him holding his shotgun up as he tells everyone "he will name names and take no prisoners."

These political ads are crazy. I live in Arkansas now, and the Blanche Lincoln/BIll Halter primary is out of control. This add that ran was the most absurd thing I've ever seen...absolutely offensive and hilarious at the same time. Check it out, about halfway down the page in the youtube screen shot...lol.

With the way it is arbitrarily pieced together I assumed it was a fake, but this bad boy is posted on the front of his campaign page!

It's hilarious/awesome, but like every other political ad anymore, there is no substance whatsoever. Just strings together a bunch of buzz words to keep people watching. Both sides do it, and it's annoying.

Chris Matthews apparently shared my sentiment on this ad as I read he called it the best political ad he has ever seen on his show today.

Dale has also surpassed 250,000 youtube views in under 24 hours for a commercial about ag secretary in Alabama. You know you have done something right when that is the case.

The sad thing is I am not sure what you can possibly do for a follow up when you come out of the box this strong. It is like the best elements of Ronald Reagan and John Wayne rolled into one person but not cartoonish. Whoever came up with the idea will no doubt see a major career boost as national politicians will want to tap that guys brain.
