they've clearly been outplayed tonight, make no mistake

but a few other games they had a chance to win and the Habs were able to rally late

One team always has to lose.

Think about this: The 8 seed took the President's Cup Winning team to 7, and won on the road.
Then they took the defending Stanley Cup Champions to 7, and won on the road.

Amazing run by the Habs. Halak is hot, the defense is good enough, and the offense scores when it needs to.

Yes. It was not luck. It was great goaltending and good defense.

Gotta tip my cap to the Canadiens. I thought they would be spent from the Washington series and they've played hard and deserved to win. Boy was I wrong.

Hate to see the Igloo go out like this.

Yeah, I've never said anything about luck. The Habs won straight up.

Props to Montreal.....no belly aching here. They game to play and never backed down. I didn't think Halak's performance would carry over from that Caps series....WRONG.

Wow. Domination early and then the Habs held on.
Great series by the Habs. Looks like we are going to have at least original six in the SCF.

Great to see the Pens fans sticking around and sending them off with a cheer. Makes be proud to be Pittsburgh fan.

disappointing loss for the Pens tonight

they fought back pretty hard but the Habs had a much more thorough game in all areas

I'm not taking anything away from them in a good, tough playoff series

Pens had their moment last year but not this time

Sad to see the Igloo go. I saw my first game there against the Caps with my dad when I was 12. Super Mario had a hat trick....I'll never forget it!

Pains me to see them lose, but Non is right, we got to raise the cup last year and it was fun to watch.

Montreal is smoking hot right now... we will see what happens with them.

Three Stanley Cup banners hanging up there and a jersey of a guy named Lemieux. Good era at the Mellon Arena. That doesn't change with this loss.

Should be pretty exciting next year with the new arena and still a pretty strong team. Shero knows there is some work to do in filling the supporting cast and looking for a little more consistency.

I wonder how a team who has zero forecheck according to Rockne gets a goal off a turnover forced by their forecheck???? Interesting.

Love seeing big bad Brooks showing off giving the business to Lapierre on the back of the cage, then promptly skate to the front and screen Fleury. Smooth move Brooks.

I understand your feelings for Orpik. I've seen him inflict much pain on Buffalo players the past few seasons.

Buh Bye Penguins. Greatest day of the year since the Brownies took out the Steelers. Suck on it Rockne.

I just got in from where I watched the game, very sobering experience. The Pens deserved to lose that game, once again they made numerous unforced turnovers and missed chance after chance. Letang couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat! Goligoski was an absolute defensive liability this entire series, he made too many mistakes, I still think Bylsma should have played McKee for either GoGo or Leopold.

Congratulations to Montreal, sometimes the sun shines on a dog's ass.

Typical response from a loser, you have to confide in another team to do what your team couldn't.
