Spain showed today why they are so tough. Paraguay played as solid as you can defensively and Spain still broke it down eventually.

Germany is always my 2nd team for world cup... German ancestry and I lived in Germany a bit as a kid... definitely played a lot of soccer while over there.

If Spain wins this thing David Villa is gonna be mentioned along the likes of Maradona and Pele in the way he has/will single handily take them to the title.
Now, we all know Xavi, Iniesta, etc have been great as well. But its all about scoring goals, and Villa has been magnificent for them.

Villa has officially surpassed Torres as the best Spanish forward. After Torres' first season for Liverpool I would have taken him.....not now.

Awesome goal. Dutch should have this match on lock now. Not sure Uruguay has the attacking power without Suarez. Forlan can only do so much on his own.
