Loved Jarts, easily the most dangerous game a kid could play. I see now they have plastic jarts, pussies!

The 'washers' game.....Where you throw washers in holes a few feet away on a wood board.....Kind of a mix of mini-frisbees and golf.

Killa' Man Football

One person throws/kicks/punts the ball into a group of other kids. Whomever picks it up has to run for a touchdown without getting tackled by the other kids. They get tackled or score, they then punt it away to the other kids...repeat.

In my day, this game was called "Smear the Queer." Only there was no scoring TD's. You just ran around until you got smeared.

yeah real Jarts cannot be produced anymore due to the strict product liability laws. But they were awesome. I remember my uncle getting one lodged in his foot. You had to pay attention when you played that game.

Smear the queer was the greatest game ever.

Red Rover was another great game kids aren't allowed to play anymore.

I'm sure kids can't play Smeer the Queer anymore because of the homosexual reference, I can't believe some schools won't let them play Tag anymore.

As a kid:
Ghost in the graveyard
Flashlight tag

Not a yard game, but street hockey was always good too.

Jarts was a Sunday ritual at my grandparents' house...to anyone that actually got hurt - Darwinism. We had real horseshoes as well, which could do some pretty good damage if you were in a position to get hit.

-edit, we also had the Whamo Trak-Ball set, I was the freaking Randy Johnson with a trak-ball. It is amazing how hard and how high we could send that ball and catch it nearly every time.

Yep, agreed, in my day that was called Smear the Queer. Classic, pointless, bruise-inducing game haha

In Steubenville we were much more politically correct, none of the "smear the queer", we simply called it "free for all". Sort of a rugby scrum only it's you against everyone else.

Did anyone play Hilldill?

What is Indian Ball? You have to play baseball using the all time Indian roster from any era to be your players? Vizquel at short?

We also used to play nerf baseball by the hour. All you need is a small nerf ball and your imagination.

Are we talking kids games?? Or adultish games aka drinking games??

Cornhole of course.
Posties...You take 2 PVC pipes and stick them in the ground maybe 20-25 feet from each other. You have 2 teams of 2. You and your partner stand oppo each other(similar to cornhole). You play with a frisbee, 2 empty beer bottles, and a beer/drink in your hand at all times. Empty bottle goes on top of the post. You throw the frisbee, try to knock the bottle off. Your partner must catch the frisbee and the other team must catch the bottle if it falls off. I really don't remember the scoring, but it's something like 2 points if you knock the bottle off on a direct hit and 1 if you hit the post and knock it off. But the throwing team gets a point if they catch the frisbee. Play to 21. Don't quote me on those scoring rules but I think that's right. Usually we just play til we get sick of it. Great for tail gating somewhere where there is grass. My buddies mom made us a set that had a stand on the bottom so we could play on concrete/parking lots.

Also have seen it played with a platform on the top of the posts, but that takes the difficulty of getting the bottle to stay up there lol.

Beer Draw. Two people stand back to back with a can of beer each. Take 5 steps away from each other, turn and face, chug beer and then throw empty can at opponent. First one to get hit is the loser.

Hilarity ensues after about 6 of these back to back.
