I don't care if they were 41-41...as long as they win a championship. Remember that old saying...."no one remembers 2nd place"
So let me put it to you another way. Did you feel more confident last year after 8 playoff games? Or more confident this year? If you say this year then you my friend are lying.
last year...but that is because of what Orlando did to us. I will never get over that one.

Someone remind me again how fans' confidence has anything to do with how good a team is?

The Cavs breezed through two cupcakes last year. Point blank. A Detroit team that didn't even want to be in the postseason and a Hawks team who gets exposed every postseason.

Then, we ran into Orlando. A team who went 6 games in their first round series and went 7 games against a banged up Boston team.

I actually like the adversity that we're facing in this postseason. I don't like the play of Mo Williams, but we're still good enough to overcome that if the Cavs actually care to play.

You didn't really say this, did you? So let me get this straight. Fans are less confident in a team that is superior? Um....OK. Stay away from logic courses at school, preppy.

Footwedge you bring up the playoff struggles so far with this team compared to last year's team. If you want to throw around statistics, last year the Cavs faced a 39 win aging Pistons team and won in four games. This year they faced a 41 win young Bulls team and won in five games. Last year the second round was against a 47 win Hawks team and they won in 4 games (you can see the Hawks showing similar futility in the 2nd round of this years' playoffs). This year the second round is against a 50 win Celtics team with mostly a roster that has won a championship and the result remains to be seen.

Well since both teams had Lebron James, I'll go with them being the same.

Oh wait, never mind, we got Shaq for a washed up Ben Wallace and hapless 12th man, and Jamison for the 30th pick of the draft...

But yeah I'll take last years team...

This wouldn't have even been a question if the Cavs would have pulled the trigger and brought in Stoudamire.

If that Cavs fail to win the championship this year, that could go down as one of the biggest bone head moves in recent memory.

You do know the Suns were the ones who didn't pull the trigger, right?

I actually don't know what happened, I was under the understanding that the Cavs didn't want to part with Hickson and that was the deal breaker. I might be wrong?

I don't think we ever had a shot at Amare, otherwise there's no way we wouldn't pull the trigger. I think it was just out there to force the Jamison trade or make the Wizards lower their asking price due to the competition.

Exactly. I'm not sure anyone outside of Danny Ferry and Steve Kerr that know exactly how it went down so you really can't speculate to try to prove a point.

I just searched a few articles on the Amare trade talks, and maybe things with the Cavs never were that serious. I thought that the Cavs had the choice of Jamison and Stoudemire, but preferred the Jamison deal because they didn't have to include Hickson.

I'm glad that I got that cleared up, because I never could understand why the Cavs didn't do anything necessary to get Stoudemire, because I personally think he's the best PF in the game today.

Again, it's all speculation but I believe that the talks weren't that serious and they were just used to get Washington to do the deal without throwing in Hickson.

Last year's team was 8-1 after 8 playoff games with the only loss being by one point. All 8 wins were by double digits.

And you sir, must not be a math major. 8+1 = 9.

Can't we just hold off on declaring which one is better until the playoffs are either over or they're out of it? It's clear that Foot thinks last years is better, yet they still didn't win the title. So what happens this year Foot if they are able to pull it off? Will you still stick to your guns and say last years was better? Everyone is all in a tizzy because they're in a dog fight now.
