Can't help but laugh at some people claiming he is done or faking an injury. Would you claim Phil is done if he pulled out in the same situation? I doubt it.

They know that he can be beat right now. Wait till he's stalking from a few behind on Sunday and is playing well. When they start seeing him move up the leader board the same thing will happen that always happened and they will crumble. He'll definitely get back to being one of the most intimidating athletes ever. Maybe at the US Open. Let's not forget that the last time the US Open was at Pebble he had perhaps the most dominant performance in the history of major championship golf winning by 15 with a final total of twelve under par.

No kidding. He played better on a tougher course at the Masters. I'm not surprised that there may have been something else going on (physically) that has caused him to play so poorly at Quail Hollow and this week at TPC.

Augusta is NOT more difficult than Quail Hollow or TPC Sawgrass. Augusta is a traditionally forgiving course, especially to those that are driving the ball poorly. When the wind blows, Augusta can be tough, but this year it played easy as pie.

I highly doubt that Tiger is faking an injury, even if he isn't playing well. This is the same guy who won the U.S. Open with a broken bone in his leg and a torn ACL. He doesn't just quit for no reason.

If this really is a bulging disc and requires some type of surgery, this could really set Tiger back. Hopefully he's able to rest for a few weeks and get back into action soon though. I always thought Tiger would break Jack's record of 18 major victories quite easily, but with his body breaking down so often and all the distractions in his personal life, I'm not so sure anymore. I still think Tiger is the best golfer to ever play the game, and he'll eventually have the stats to prove it, but it seems as though there is definitely cause for concern right now.

2010 Masters winner -16, 23 players under par.
2010 Quail Hollow winner -15, 37 players under par.
2010 Players Championship winner -16, 46 players under par.

August had perfect scoring positions and -16 is one of the lowest winning scores ever at Augusta. But you're right, Quail Hollow and TPC Sawgrass are harder than Augusta.

TPC played ridiculously easy this year. Augusta is much more forgiving off the tee than Sawgrass and Quail Hollow. It is the tee ball that Tiger has been struggling with, so it makes sense that he was able to put on a great performance there. I guess I should have clarified that. Augusta is the easiest of these courses to play for Tiger Woods.

Believe me, I am pulling for him as well, but it is clear that he needs to hit the range and get his mind right if he wants to win more tournaments.

Golf, perhaps more than any other sport, is about self-confidence and mental focus. I don't think anyone could go through what Tiger just went through since Thanksgiving and not have your mind totally whacked out.

I'm not all all sure that he'll ever return to the level of dominance he used to display - not that I feel sorry for him.

This was amazing, not long after we got there today, we see Tiger tee off at #6. We were really close and my friend said he winced in pain or has really focused concentration when he swung. We take off to 'The Turn' tent, and then see Bohn by himself on #9 , Tiger is gone ! That sent quite a buzz of talk thru the tent, the whole place. Awesome day and awesome women everywhere you looked.

Tiger will eventually get back to winning golf tournaments unless he retires and I doubt Nike lets that happen.

I hope he's around for many years to come, since I never get tired of reading/hearing about every time he takes a fucking dump or scratches his nuts.

Now Hank. Who's next? Sounds like a lot of people are distancing themselves from the famous "Woods camp".
