How much did you (or your wife or daughter) spend on a wedding dress? I watch Say Yes to the Dress* and some of these crazy ladies spend 8-10,000 dollars or more on a dress. That's just insane. I honestly have NO idea how much a wedding costs but I'd venture to say my entire day will be less than what some of these bitches spend. Don't get me wrong...I LOVE dresses but you're going to wear the thing for a few hours one time. Even if my parents paid for it (which they're not) I wouldn't want to spend that much.

*Yeah I know that makes me super lame. But even though I don't have tear ducts I do have a vagina and occasionally like to watch girly shows.

Oh and if you're married...did you care what your wifes dress looked like? Some of the guys on there have some really strong opinions. And there have been several who actually went shopping with the bride and helped her pick it out. I can say with certainty that ain't happening with me.

I dated a girl who wanted a wedding that was like $50,000. She watched all of those crazy ass wedding shows. Started telling me about colors for it.

Bye bye crazy devil woman.

My fiancee's dress was $600. She also got something else done (that I'm not allowed to know about yet) and that ran another $150. So all total, she spent $750 on the dress...but she still has to pay for the alterations.

All total, we set a budget of $10,000 for the wedding and $2,000 for the honeymoon. It's looking like we're going to be coming in under budget by about $1,000 or so.

I honestly think that its just women my age watching these BS shows and thinking they actually deserve the same things.

I don't know about any of you, but I'm not pullin in 250k/yr.

In my book its either 10k on the diamond or 10k on the wedding. One is going to cost 2k. You pick.

Most girls do deserve a great wedding. Doesn't mean it has to cost a fortune, though.

And a lot of my guy friends would never buy their fiance a small or cheap ring. They feel it would make them look bad and well...cheap.
