I agree. I have nothing against Macs. I like them, but I'd buy a PC with my own money. But my buddy has a sweet ass Mac. I think the debates that people get into about this are retarded--I don't care what you're using lol. I'm just glad that in my lifetime I've been able to be part of a giant community called the internet--don't care how you got here, just glad you're here with me. The internet is the best invention yet.

Understandable. I tell people that I wouldn't waste their money on a Mac. If they want the bang for their buck, they should stick with a PC.
That is totally fair as well. Just because someone has had bad experience with whatever product doesn't mean others will. I switched to Mac because I was tired of dealing with the PC problems over the years, so far so good, it has worked for ME. I just don't get the attitude towards Mac users/owners that we are some sort of hippie/vw jetta driving snobs, I just don't get that debate???

I agree. Mac fanboys that cream their shorts over things like the iPad drive me absolutely crazy. I think Mac's are nice don't get me wrong. I like mine but I don't love mine enough to convince me to stay with it. I hardly touch a computer at home anymore after sitting in front of one for 9 hours a day. I have both at home. I use my Mac more just because it's a laptop and more accessible. Once it dies, I'll be upgrading my Vista machine to Windows 7 and never looking back. My Vista box was 75% of the price of my MacBook and has over twice the power.

When people ask me what they should buy, I ask them what do they plan on using their computer for. I give my opinion based on that. If its someone that plans on using it for design and video, I'll always recommend a Mac first if it's in their budget.

This debate would never have started without a PC user starting it, therefor the PC user didn't "shut the fuck up."

Same thing would have happened in a PC thread. A Mac user would say something and the debate would start.

Both sides do their fair share of not shutting the fuck up. And it is fucking retarded. Arguing over a computer. SMH.

Actually Apple is the one that started it with its campaign of "it just works" and its anti-PC commercials. Trying to create an air of superiority against a competitor has empowered MAC users to think they are better, and its no longer just about the computer. The facts remain, 10% market share LOL If they're so great, why only 10%? Because they're not, and you can take that to the bank.

Ok they have 10% of the market share yes. Do you just expect businesses/people to just walk away from their PC's and switch to Mac? No. It will take time but Apple isn't going away that is for sure.

Yeah, Zune is about even when it comes to the music players these days. Obviously not near as good in the "App" department. But as far as music and video devices they are both about the same and it just comes down to preference.

What company doesn't say they are better than their competition?

No, you've just bought into their advertising koolaid. Their market share isn't ever going to move up much. PCs will still dominate for the foreseeable future. Props to Apple for dumping money into ads and getting their product more well known--problem is for them is, most of the market has been aware of them for years. And they're still choosing PC over Mac.

I'm sure there are businesses out there that would like to make the switch. Unfortunately, there is too much software/programming out there that is not Mac compatible. I worked for UPS for 5 years. Nothing there will EVER be Mac. Not only that but the Shipping software they provide customers, Worldship, is NOT available for Mac without Parallels and such.

I actually prefer the Zune to the iPod, however I like iTunes better than the Zune software. I feel like it's more versatile, but Zune has an interesting way of doing things. My iTunes library is just so excessive at this point that it's pretty pointless for me to switch over. But I do prefer the Zune to the iPod these days as far as the device is concerned.

Switching from Mac to PC has nothing to do with interfacing with users. If a user can work on a PC, they can work on Mac, or vice versa. The main problem is switching over Accounting systems, mainframe systems, applications, databases, etc... It's not as easy as replacing everyone's workstations. Plus most companies are look for cost-effective workstations, which Mac's definitely are not.

Honestly, I'd love it if Mac could produce a product for an affordable price. It would be must more appealing to the general population.

I don't get the constant Mac/PC debate.

Do you honestly think Apple gives a shit about how their computers are doing vs. PCs?

Best phone=Apple
Best mp3 player=Apple

Steve Jobs is doin' ok.

I agree Macs are not in the "affordable range' for alot of people. But that is no different than tons of products on the market today.

I don't see myself ever buying a Mac. When I get money for a new computer, I'll be buying and building my own for gaming, etc. Can't really do that on a Mac. Plus, I hate those stupid PC Vs. Mac commercials and the cult like nature of Mac users.

Mac Mini is a nice little machine. It is likely the next computer my mom will be buying to replace their piece of shit eMachines. I think the base model is only $599 and they can keep and use all of their current peripherals with it.
